I disagree about things being my generations fault. There's more and more younger people on this site being exposed to things and acting horribly in real life.
The very fact these people think this is a leftist haven is proof. This site was never supposed to be that. This used to be a place for nerds, geeks, people with hobbies, people with no friends or even people who wanted to learn about things.
Now people see boards like /b/ as this free-for-all shitfest and it's gotten to the point the behavior on here is a reflection to the outside world. Anyone with a phone has access to this site now.
I remember when I was doing a temp gig for Gamestop when GTA 5 was coming out and this mom wanted to buy it for her son. I was told to warn parents about the content. Her son was 8. I warned her about the content and about certain parts and even vaguely told her about some of those parts.
You know what she told me?
"What difference does it make? If I don't buy it he'll just play it at a friend's house or watch it on youtube somehow".
And most kids these days have terrible neglectful parents. Most kids have phones with zero parental controls. That's how they get easily convinced into crazy fucked up shit.
