>if they never interacted with humans humans wouldn’t be sure they exist
if these gods have never interacted with humans, how in the world would anyone even know they existed? what sense does that even make?
> They probably would have happened either way.
sure, people likely would have created religions either way, we have modern day equivalents of cults being created based on comets and promises of the end of the world. people are dumb and will blindly believe things for all sorts of reasons. but religions aren't gods, you can create a religion around anything out of thin air, like Scientology. that's that evidence of gods, that's evidence of human gullibility
>There is also the problem of telephone
what does the game of telephone have to do with anything? these supposed omnipotent beings that exist outside of time and visit and interact with humans whenever they want, all the time, anywhere in the world, it doesn't require people retelling stories over generations for thousands of years
and the fact that you even point this out is in itself suspicious, because they only account of any of these things is from thousands of years ago, and never again
where are the modern human experiences? we have cameras, video, sound recording equipment now, and for some reason none of these things have ever be recorded, why is that?
>my core argument here is that I think it’s foolish to completely discredit the idea of a creator.
my core argument is there's no reasons to believe something that someone is purporting to be true, that that has zero evidence, and is only asserted to be true, based on nothing but wishful thinking and shear ignorance
