Lol, you are retarded. We literally go to welding schools nowadays, then have to apprentice before you can even sit for the test to become a Certified Welder. There are numerous textbooks on welding, ranging from the (literally hundreds) of different types of structural welds (e.g., Butt joints, Tee joints, corner joints, lap joints, edge joints, differing substrate materials, wire feed vs. stick, shield metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc (GMAW, Mig), Flux-Cored Arc (FCAW), gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW, Tig), etc. to things like welding upside down (yes, it happens sometimes) to welding under water (Submerged Arc Welding) to Resistance Welding to Oxy-fuel Welding, etc., all with differing applications, equipment, and characteristics. I am a Certified Welder going on 14 years and a Certified Inspector for the last 5. I pulled $142,000 in 2024 on my W2, get $82/hour on side jobs (off the books), with full medical, dental, vision, and a 6 week pay vacation, with a 1.5x match on my IRA. I own my own 4 bedroom house, no mortgage, no liens, and a small lake house (cottage), 2 boats and 2 jet skis, 2 cars, and a truck (employer bought, I use exclusively, they pay insurance too) and have just over $220k in the bank.
Welding is actually difficult work and is one of the highest demand jobs anywhere. I hear it pays ridiculous amounts of money in China too.
