As an atheist, I've come around to the idea that religious belief is a matter of choice, rather than just intelligence or wisdom. It's like food, you just eat what you like. Religious beliefs are things people CHOOSE to adopt/hold onto or not, depending on their own experiences.

You can get some really smart theists who are highly intelligent on their chosen subjects, but they still can't prove they are doing anything more than choosing what is the most emotionally and socially validating for them.

If anything I'd say atheists are just more honest and willing to accept things that make others uncomfortable where theists are more optimistic and want a more emotionally pleasing version of reality.

We exist. Creation exists. Therefore something or someone created it. Therefore there is some evidence that there could be a creator.

As for atheism? You don't have anything to discount the god narrative, at all. You can make a claim, but you have no evidence and you have no causative action to explain creation itself.

Ergo the logical mind dictates a creator exists. There is evidence for one. There is no evidence to suggest there is no god. There is no evidence to disprove god/creator. There IS evidence to prove god/creator. You lose!

Just because someone creates something, doesn't mean they give a shit about it. It doesn't mean the creator places any significance upon his creation. It doesn't mean anything. It just means a creator exists.

As things stand now, if there is a creator, the size of the universe would dictate that earth and humanity are most likely not central to the creation/simulation. If humanity were the central focus, would we not be more prominent in the universe? Would the dates and times of significance to the various religions mean anything? Why would how many times a planet revolves around a star, in a sea of trillions of planets and trillions of stars matter so much. Why would our revolution of our star be significant whatsoever to the creation/simulation and the Creator of it?

I don't practice any religion. Never have. Never had any ideas forced onto me with regards to spirituality. It's just logic. If something exists, something created it. I believe an intelligence of some form created the universe we exist in, I don't think we are central to that creation and I don't think it takes interest in the day to day lives of common people like ourselves.
