i've been kind of productive recently but it's mostly been programming stuff
i'd rather spend my time doing things that will get results but i guess that leads to me neglecting hobbies that i'm not as good at like music stuff
which becomes a self fulfilling cycle of not improving because i don't practice and not practicing because i don't see any improvement

Prioritising what's important for you is fine and it's okay if your music isn't as good as your programming if programming is what matters to you the most.
As for music. If you are just making music you don't really need to practice much, I mean you won't get better, but I don't think your skills decline as much as not practicing an instrument would

The more you have spent time on something and the better you are at it. The more you enjoy it. It's really easy to quit early on because it's dfficult and less enjoyable at the start. Apperently 90 % of people quit guitar within the first year.

I think most people are bad at that since it's naturally hard.
But if you practice and study more you will get better.
My sense of rhythm has been improving since I started practicing it more.
Experienced programmers also I would imagine are really good at handling errors and already have a system maybe partially counciouss and subconscious on an effiecent way to go about it.
So having a system/structure would be smart

gun powder is easy to get and yes one needs it
making ammo DIY is not really paying off that much since you need this extra machine for it, its cheaper and faster to just buy it
it also depends what Type of ammo u plan on shooting but for most it doesnt pay off unless you need Like magnum 44 and shoot everyday

What if you used a lathe to make your own ammo making machine.
You would be truly self suffiecent and more undetectable.
Now imagine you make your own lathe.
In a shed.
Then you make your own CNC machine.
Then make machines to print PCBs.
Then make machines to make processors.
That would be sick.
I think there was some guy who made his own tank, and the boy scout who made his own nuclear reactor in a shed

I play the 5 string banjo, both clawhammer, 3 finger and traditional styles

I like playing old timey music, some folk music have a few songs of my own I've written, little bit of bluegrass but I'm more into the experimental stuff driving the instrument forward.

Bach sounds incredible on the banjo, believe it or not. Prelude in C Major would be my favourite. You play that shit on a banjo during the sunset to some girl who has got eyes for you? You're getting a blowjob.

Shoutout to the homie Clifton Hicks for his modern folk tune The Ballad of Kyle Rittenhouse

>The last to try young Rittenhouse, was pistol packin' Gage
>But Kyle blew his arm in two, and Gage did run away
>And Gage did run away...

It's like an old gunfighter ballad great stuff.

Well that's no fun. When I was a teen I lived in the forest and I used to do experiments like trying to make my own forge. I was dumb back then and the best I managed was making an iron pipe glow slightly red.
It was suprisingly easy to hammer flat, I assumed the slight tint means I needed way more heat for it to be more soft like they show in movies.
If I kept living there I would prob grow enough of a brain to actually manage something decent, but I was a dumb kid.
Now I live in a dumb apartment so it's lame.
