>>22866889i've never used /a/. but i think it's 4chan's version of the "the curtains are blue, actually" meme from tumblr, where people got tired of pretension (both real and imagined) in their own respective spaces and lash out by embracing lowest common denominator pop culture works to spite the so-called snobs.
i guess because it's 4chan, people couldn't just like the stupid kids shows, they had to ironically exaggerate their mannerisms to be like powerscalers/shonenfags/twitter zoomers to piss off /a/'s previous anti-naruto/dbz bend. and that ended up catching on to other places that were already kind of adjacent (like /co/'s death battle general).

>>>/v/713746485
>>22869224It's a boring straight line that you have to drive on the way to the real race track, which when you get there is one lap. Basically, it used to be that you could skip having to do the highway by selecting a random course, which would give you a standard three-lap race. Like 99% of players in online lobbies would select random because nobody wants those so-called "intermissions", but now that's changed.

>How do I post on 4chan?
>In order to post on 4chan you have to do one of the following:
>If you are a new user of 4chan (i.e., have never posted before), simply wait for 15 minutes before attempting to post. Click 'Get Captcha' then wait for the timer to count down. Consider browsing the board in another tab while you wait.
>Verify your email address to be able to post immediately.
>Have a 4chan Pass.
>So for clarity, you do not have to verify your email address if you don't want to. If you are a new user, you can instead simply wait 15 minutes before posting. Lurk a thread, browse the site, or just come back later. After the wait, you can post threads and replies as normal. Verifying your email address merely bypasses the wait. It will also make your experience smoother by allowing you to bypass various other filters and blocks.
>You will need to accept 4chan cookies for any of these methods to work. Please ensure that your browser is not set to block cookies, or that you whitelist 4chan domains in any browser extensions you use which may block cookies. Should you choose to verify your email to bypass the wait, we will not retain long-term records of your email address. After the verification email has been sent, your email address will be purged from our servers.

did 4chan filter mass replying?
I just realized I haven't seen a post with more than maybe a dozen quotes in probably 3 years
>>22874935yeah, we made it into too much of a meme

>>22874949I just checked the archive because I was curious and you have a bunch of newfags calling people that make 4-5 replies at once a "mass replier"
the mass replying I'm thinking of is the shit where you would use 1990 characters to reply to everyone in the thread top to bottom then say something like "shut up" or "all me btw"
>>22874949>>22875007There's a schizo on /a/ (anti-crack-kun) who mass replied all the time, I wouldn't be surprised if the spam filter was trying to stop him.

>>22875007yeah pretty much this that's what mass replying used to be. in context of the people being called mass replier: there are too many newfags on 4chan nowadays pretending to be oldfags. all the oldfags dont care and act like newfags

"10 years ago" was the point of no return when 4chan "died" and most boards became infested with the subhumans obsessed with political drama that still plague the site to this day as a result of faggotry like gamergate and Trump's first election that involved multiple online spaces and even the real world™. The poo in loo thing was a lighthearted joke for a few years, it lacked the vitriol that is modern 4chan humor. The humor of it was contained in the video itself. It was silly and stupid and funny. /int/ was a very different place back then, Brits were called Nigel instead of Abdul and Americans were called fat instead of mutts. Just banter stuff without diatribes of animosity.
Anyway, one Australian with a proxy decided to samefag an argument between himself on his regular IP and one on an Indian flag and it birthed the screenshot of "designated shitting streets". It's so obvious the same guy behind both posts with the Indian flag guy being the I AM SILLY guy of a ms paint comic. One thread. One guy. The screenshot spread around to /pol/ and funnyjunk and other uncreative dump and signaled the next epic forced meme to go with that t. alberto thing.
/int/ died because it stopped being banter and shifted into "U R BROWN", "NO U R BROWN" garbage that lacked any wit, spearheaded by that one Australian.

In all fairness. /int/ died because it ran out of quirks to discover. The board peaked when no one knew anything of any other country and every month was a new weird thing about slovakia or finland or netherlands to discover. It sorta ran out in 2018 and that's when pol culture started to seep in with the amerimutt, norf FC and pajeet

>>22876446Depends on who you ask. Texans tend to act like theirs is the only state in the union, which can make them annoying to non-Texans. Otherwise, liberal/progressive types hate it because it's an excellent vessel for all the shit they hate. Conservative/Trumpian types love it for the opposite reason.
>>22876446I'm a native Texan, though I moved a long time ago.
It depends on where you're at. Texas is a huge state. East Texas is different from West Texas is much different from Houston is radically different from Austin. I'll say that it has something for everyone, politics-wise - Austin is nearly San Fran tier in its love of the gays, West and South Texas are great if you love Mexican-flavored Catholic conservatism, East is mostly Foot Washing Baptists, and the North is largely "mind your own fucking business" libertarian kind of stuff. The big cities are like big cities anywhere else, mostly, though with a higher black population than most places. Rural parts are mostly very friendly but will not appreciate you moving in if you're driving the home prices up. West is kind of run down and shitty but it's cheap to live there. Stay away from Houston and South Dallas if you appreciate not getting shot.
