It used to be that one had to go to a library, look through the stacks and find books on particular subjects they are interested in. It was genuine study where you would not only learn what you sought to learn, but where it fit with regards to the wider subject you were studying. This is totally superficial, it is not the genuine absorption of knowledge, it is not genuine study for the sake of learning. It is for a quick gotcha, to win an argument or shit flinging contest. Now, why is this? Obviously there is the surface level, to "win" an argument.
