i don't know, maybe you have your own systems for studying already, but have you looked into spaced repitition flash cards? you can memorize things very fast with those, and there's lots of software for it
the hard part is mainly coming up with useful cards to memorize
sometimes it seems like there's no way to memorize anything useful about what you're studying, but there usually is, if you can figure out what the most important principles are
