Not much. It is supposed to be healthier than regular sugar, and I can tell that I certainly prefer brown sugar for tea or coffee

I would like to know if it's because of the quality or what. But at least in my case, all the coffees, no matter what brand, have to have sugar. Not too much, but a bit it's fine

it could be
i think the way it's prepared makes a big difference
i started with freshly ground coffee from a french press, it was good without much sweetener
instant coffee, or coffee from other methods, or lower quality coffee, could all be reasons it needs sugar

personally i drink most coffee black now, even if it's very bitter/bad, but it took a while to get to that point lol
before that i used stevia as sweetener, usually

dark roast coffee has a more consistent bitter/burnt taste, and less caffeine
lighter roast tastes a bit more sour/astringent/acidic, and has more caffeine. also the flavor changes more depending on how you brew it, than with darker roast

there's a gene which makes coffee taste more bitter to some people, if i recall correctly
sort of like the gene which makes cilantro "taste like soap" to some people
