I joined a photography group last month and it's mainly retired old men in their 70's and 80's. Anyway I submitted some of my pictures to them for a competition and they were kind of critical about my photos. They don't seem to like anything a bit unusual in any way. They were complaining that a pic I did of an angel sculpture was too bright - but I made it slightly more over exposed and used a soft focus filter to make the image appear dreamy/heavenly. It seems like these old men don't like and photos that might be a bit arty/modern in anyway. They just take very basic pictures of trains or flowers with no colour grading. Thanks for reading my blog
