Southpark theory: Eric Cartman is gay and madly in love with kyle, even if he doesn't understand it (because of defensive repression)

I mean we all know that feeling when we're young, and have a crush on someone but because we're so inexperienced we can't show it in normal ways yet, i.e. when boys "bully" their crushes to show their affection, just the attention they give to them stems from their love and longing for even the simplest of interactions with them. Cartman suffers not only from this but also from the stigma of being gay and in love with a jew; it literally goes against everything he stands for, so even if he really DID feel this way he would pull every single mental gymnastics skill in the book to convince himself that he doesn't, even while showing affection (or intense "hatred" which is related) to kyle and longing for his attention which in and of itself betrays his true feelings.

There's many instances where we see glimpses of this going on: Cartman enjoying watching kyle "suffer" while bathing in the money he earned by beating kyle in a bet, and he keeps doing it all episode long but loses all interest as soon as Kyle shows that he doesn't really care (S6E8), cartman willing to go to THE ENDS OF THE EARTH just for kyle to suck his balls (S11E10)(*more on this later*), his only wish for saving southpark from the hippies being to make kyle watch him play with a toy kyle could never get (S9E2), cartman literally going over a sleeping kyle to monologue to himself about his genius plan of taking all the treasure to himself (S10E6), like there's so many fucking instances i haven't watched SP in ages and these are all from the top of my head, there's probably 1 of these in almost every single episode, etc.etc.etc.etc.

Now I want you to ask yourself: is this simply Eric's shtick and character? Do we see Eric exhibiting this behavior towards any other character, ever? NO. He ONLY ever acts like this for Kyle. He's obsessed with him in a way teenage lovers are. Not rivals. Rivals don't want each others attention or humiliation, they just want to prove themselves. This is deeper. And this is gay.

*when the plot safely allows cartman to do something VERY HOMO for Kyle, he does it no hesitation in the guise of "hating him" or "getting him", even if it completely humiliates him in the process: S16E7, previous example, S17E6 WHERE CARTMAN LITERALLY USES A NEWLY CONVERT CULTIST KYLE TO TURN HIM INTO HIS PERSONAL BDSM SEX SLAVE UNTIL HE BREAKS, etc etc

In conclusion, you have to be genuinely stupid or delusional to deny this.

Wish southpark would drop the ‘satan having trump’s baby’ subplot, it’s just cringe and not funny, I’d rather they focus more on contemporary funny stuff like the PC principal and Jesus. I get it, nobody likes trump he’s a boneheaded fascist, but focusing more than like 25% of each episode’s airtime on him is obsessive, especially when the subplot isnt even that funny or politically relevant. How is Trump impregnating satan with the Antichrist related to the mass deportations, abuse of executive orders, political nepotism in the administration, purging of the military, use of the military to quell protests, use of the military to enforce deportations, use of the military in drug enforcement, designating dozens of political activists organizations as domestic terrorist, the Epstein files and their coverup, etc. There’s so much potential for interesting, well written and funny commentary/satire on the subjects, and I’m just not seeing it from the writers of South Park.

The ICE bit they did was very funny IMO, I just want them to focus more on the kids like they did in every seasons till S19ish when they became very into current politics talk. Garrison is funny and I could stand him being the main character used for getting their political satire in FOR 1 SEASON, but old southpark for example could've easily used Cartman in his place, and made it way funnier in the process... Also why the hell was Randy and his subplots the main focus of the show and we had the kids pushed to the sidelines every episode for like 6 seasons long? Fuck randy dude. They take some weird directive choices but theyま're still capable of producing very good content at times. When they want to!

They also have a bad habit of dragging unfunny subplots for way too long. But I have good feelings for S28. Im not sure if theyre gonna pussy out and be lame like in the netanyahu bit that just felt uncreative and forced but they have a lot of content to satirize, so I very much believe in them for now.

but like i dont give a fuck about netanyahu or trump or whatever AND RANDY IS WAY OVERDONE i just want to see cartman and his friends engage into catastrophic shenanigans again
