OP here, have been married for 6 years and have not succeeded at having children. 4 miscarriages and an extra uteral pregnancy which had to be terminated.

Over time you start asking yourself very deep questions about life and If you even really want it. It shifts wildly on a regular basis.

No regrets. They haven't affected my wealth much at all. We buy more groceries and things wear out faster I guess. I still have enough cash to race cars and shoot guns, a bit less time for that stuff is all. Really, it's the opposite as I consider my children to be a part of my wealth. We do hit max out of pocket with health insurance when a new one is born so that costs $5k but considering that's about twice what a decent purebred puppy costs I think that's pretty fair. They're tons of fun and super cute. Lots of work too of course but everything worth doing is lots of work.
