What is your most fucked up/absurd fast food experience
A few weeks ago i was eating at a mcdicks for lunch and some mentality challenged woman in her 30s came in and couldn't figure out how to pay or she didn't have any money. She looked really confused. She was also nearly unable to talk to people so she was just kinda muttering to people around her telling them she wants food and cant with money. Eventually, she had some guy help her pick food from the touch screen menu then she mumble asked him to pay for her. He just walked off confused and ordered his own food. I think she eventually got a cup of water. It was incredibly sad and i thought of just buying her food to help her out. I didn't though.
i got strawberry quik once from a 7-11 and when i went to drink it it was literally like kid's slime it just slowly oozed out of the bottle
as soon as my tongue hit it i was like WTF!? this would have been in 1995 or 1996
yeah
>>21382295 (OP)That other thread with the raw McDonaldโs burger patty brought up an old memory from years ago when on an overnight road trip driving through bumblefuck Virginia I stopped around 2am to get some gas and a burger from Mickey ds well 10 miles down the highway or so I reach in the bag and start to eat my food but it was ice cold and tasted off so I only ate a bite well long story short when I eventually stopped again and turned on a light I checked the burger and it was basically just a frozen raw beef slab that hadnโt been cooked at all
>>21382312Oh yeah that's happened to me twice now. I think it was expired
One of the few times I've ever actually been to/inside a McDonald's, a girl was having a seizure on the floor and people were just stepping over her to get to the queue and place their orders for a six pack of McLardybombs and McBetes pie. I don't remember if I actually ordered anything but I recall telling them to at least call emergency services (this was before cell phones were commonplace).
>>21382308Was she cute? If you bought her food do you think you could a got a nice lunch date?
>>21382295 (OP)I went to the Burger King drive-thru, maybe 13 or so years ago. Got up to the window and the cashier is this fat white guy, had something like "White King," on his arm. Dude ended up saying "nigga" like 15 times while we were talking.
>>21382375She was very unattractive.
I went to the KFC in Dickson during Covidโข and aside from the miserable experience of going to collect food during all that fuckery, I got a 3-piece box and when I got home I saw that they gave me 3 fucking wings. And they were stale.
That was a dark day overall. All the shops shuttered around Dickson, anybody out had their faces wrapped in their disgusting face diapers, everyone is standoffish and nobody gives a fuck about anything anymore, the lobby was gross and unclean and you had to stand on dots while you waited, an then I got cold fries and paid out my fucking asshole for 3 chicken wings with like 10g of meat each.
Fuck. FUCK
And you know what else? Nobody still cares. We fucking broke it all and there's no fix >:|
we've got a lady in our town who everyone calls Pirate Sue, she's pretty meth-y but cool and wears an eyepatch. always a hoot to see her around. no real crazy stories with her, i just think it's funny how many times she pops up in conversation and everyone always lands on calling her Pirate Sue.
there was another kid who was probably about 18 who worked at the Taco Bell for about a month. he was real outgoing but not all there. i was in the drivethru, and somehow in that very limited interaction (in which i was trying to talk as little as possible) he was able to bring up how he just met some guy and now he's his boyfriend and he chains him up and does all kind of bondage shit to him. that was the last time i saw him.
>>21382295 (OP)When I was much younger me and my father stopped at this diner while traveling through the mountains of West Virginia. It was very clearly a converted double-wide trailer and it's where I first came to understand where the idiom "greasy spoon" came from. It had small, linoleum tables with plastic chairs. I can't even remember exactly what I had, maybe chili fries? Anyway, that experience stuck with me because it was sort of a level of poverty that I wasn't accustomed to.

>>21382428First of all anon, I'm not a United American, second I don't find any republican talking points to have any legitimate merit whatsoever, and third what I'm complaining about is breaking community culture and breaking the economy at the same time; everything doubled or tripled in price and hasn't returned to normal, rents and utilities included, and everyone's mindset is different now too. and the virus just didn't merit that much damage I reckon
>>21382333no it was weird it wasn't rancid or anything it was like they put too much flavor mix in the batch or it was all flavor glop and no milk idk it was horrifying and i havent had it since

I guess if you immediately thought the entire thing was a big conspiracy of theatrics you'd have taken issue. But even if I was crazy I would have enough sense to keep my delusions to myself.

>>21382295 (OP)I once ordered one (1) White Castle hamburger (not a cheeseburger) because I only had like 70 cents in change in my pocket and that is how much one cost. much of that 70 cents was in pennies. The girl that took my order acted like this is a regular occurrence but for me I felt weird and it didnโt help that the girl that took the order was really hot and I felt like a loser
>>21382438That's not fast food really but I'd rather eat at a place like that over fast food any day of the week. Those places have their charm for sure, and usually they do some special dish really well.
But if it's really run down and you can tell they don't sell much food or put much care into keeping the place clean I can see the consistent regulation of a corporate fast food chain might be an oasis by comparison.
Someplace like WV you never know.
>>21382595I didn't get a vacation, I work in healthcare and had to rock up every day and deal with snotty sick old people. I had to have a special letter in the car for when I crossed state lines to work in remote clinics. It was kind of a shitfuck to be honest (and shitfucks are not as good as they soind).
Also my home city at that time had a wonderful sense of community in its neighbourhoods and lots of very nice businesses and positive vibes. It's not totally roond, but a lot of places shut down and never reopened and hospo staff are shit now and everything is a money grab, they used covid to jack prices everywhere and let us acclimatise to the price hikes and now it's just permanent. fucking bullshit.
BUT THE MOST BULLSHIT thing of all was Tucky Chad giving me 3 goddamn chicken wings for the price of a whole meal
>>21382604Indeed, indeed
>>21382295 (OP)I've never had a significantly fucked up/absurd fast food experience but I'll tell you a story.
When I was a teenager my buddy and I went to the Wendy's drive through once, and while we stopped in the parking lot afterwards to distribute the food he realized that the girl at the window had given him a $20 in change instead of the $5 that was expected. My first instinct was "Score!"-- we were not exactly poor, but we were pretty low in the middle class tier and so every dollar we could get our grubby hands on was valuable. But he looked at it and told me how she'd get in trouble and possibly even lose her job and he marched determinedly back in to give it back to her, and as I sat there waiting in the car I realized for the first time that being a nigger is a choice, that there's a difference between living up to a set of values and principles, and just chasing after every scrap of self-gratification and personal greed you can find without ever thinking about it, and ever since then I've resolved to never live like a nigger.
>>21382616What was your situation like when that happened? I remember running out of money once and only having plain rice and potatoes to eat - when I finally got some money again the first thing I bought was a Wendyโs cheeseburger combo and man did it taste good in that moment
>>21382411Did she have nice tits? You could've gotten a nasty summer blowjob

>>21382419Come to Maine, it's like all trails of covid have been erased.
>>21383002way back in the early 2000s I found myself doing similar
not poor or anything, there were no ATMs around and I had around 89p in shrapnel on me
i had a summer job running a small shop and remember an old man who came in with exact change for some thing, only he had developed a hole in the lining of his pocket. so right in the middle of the shop he takes his trousers off to fish out a 5p piece from some internal fabric fold
I was at a Burger King and a small fight broke out and then the entire place was brawling and I had to do like one of those loony tune cartoons where I crawl under everyone fighting. As I was leaving I heard someone scream "HE'S GOT A GUN" to some random person fighting and I bolted out as I hard gunshots in the distance
I was sitting in McDonald's with my daughter, we were quite near the counter. I saw some man standing around, they called a number, called it again... nothing. Then the man goes up and takes the order. This repeats another three times with the same man before he leaves. I figured out that he was waiting for orders that people were either not there for or were too stupid to register that their number was being called out. Not a bad idea.
>>21383253I suspect the risk of violence or melee would have been immediately obvious when you arrove there. you should have used your better judgement and not entered.
>>21382295 (OP)One time at the McDonald's drive-thru, they messed up the orders and gave me food for 4 people even though I only paid for 1 burger. I took them all in silence and drove away. he wasn't even poor, he was in a suit and was well groomed, just an arrogant psychopath
>>21383258>>21383265I used to do this so much at a panera close to me that they started putting the orders behind the counter and started asking for order numbers.
>>21383262One time I found a 100 dollar bill at a shake shack just sitting on the counter. Maybe someone left it there for me to take. I was on my way to an international trip and I bought souvenirs with the money.

We also witnessed the largest wealth trasnfer in the modern era. Pharmaceutical companies made billions off of the vaccines.

>the flyover subhumans are fighting again
At San Diego Comic-Con at around 2014, I met a girl at a pizza place and she invited me to her place to smoke weed. I brought a friend just in case it was a trap and we took an over there, but it turned out she was one of those kinds of girls who only hangs out with dudes, and she brought a bunch of dudes over to all partake. I still got high, but at some point I said to my friend "get me out of here" and he got me out. So, high as balls, we went back to the convention area, and he took me to a Jack in the Box. Since I was high, I didn't notice any of this was happening, but everyone was silent and staring at some guy with blood running down his face, and there was blood all over the floor, which I stepped in. I did my order and went to sit down, looking around and wondering why it was so quiet. I finally noticed a bunch of people checking in on a guy who had blood dripping down from his forehead into a puddle on the floor, and some guy brought him his food, which he said he paid for. The cops came and took the bleeding guy's story, it turns out that literally seconds before we had gotten there the guy had been stabbed in the face a few times by a tweaker, and somehow they managed to miss everything vital on him and slashed his forehead and punctured his cheek. He got a ride to the hospital with the cops, and I finished my tacos before I noticed there was blood on the bottom of my shoes.
The end.

>>21383607I often do the right thing but for entirely selfish reasons specifically because doing the wrong thing or nothing at all makes me feel bad/guilty. Like, I was hanging out with a bunch of friends and friends-of-friends, drinking at a construction site because teens do dumb shit and one guy, someone I don't even fucking like, fell into a pit and puked on himself (or the same thing in reverse order). All this said, none of his actual friends wanted to help him and he was unresponsive. I and one other guy climbed down there and got him out. The other guy started shoving him at his friends to gross then out with his puke-covered clothing. I specifically put him into a cab because Uber wasn't a thing yet and paid to send him home. As I closed the door, he said "you're good people, Anon."
I didn't see him again until a decade later and he'd completely forgotten about that night, or at least that's what he'd claimed.
Anyway, had I not helped him then, I'd have felt like shit. The fact that he didn't remember didn't feel great either but had I not helped him at all, I would have felt worse.
Not mine, but I remember there was a thread over a year back of an anon who was white but iirc spoke Thai or some other Southeast Asian language. He was in cahoots with management to rat out the Thai workers in case they said something the boss didn't like as they never would've guessed he spoke it.
Anon later found out the Thai workers were slaves after the cops came to shut the joint down.
I have the screenshots but not on my phone rn. I still fucking remember this story a year later.

When I was 15 or 16 or so, we used to eat Taco Bell after school almost every day. There was this presumably mentally ill homeless guy who would always be eating a bean burrito and rocking out on his headphones. I used to see him around at the mall, across town, everywhere, to the point we used to joke he was "my" bum and my parents were a little concerned, as they noticed him around me too.
One day there was this insane hailstorm with pouring rain (not normal where I live). He walks up to me with his bean burrito, headphones on, stares me dead in the eyes, tips his cap, and runs out. He jumped on his bike and rode off directly into the hailstorm.
We never saw him again.
>>21384776What do you think happened?
My little brother had his 4th or 5th birthday party at Wimpy Burger. The member of staff tells everyone to get Mr Wimpy to come out by calling his name. Eventually the bloke comes out in this bizarre costume and meets the kids. My little bro was horrified at the sight of him and started crying and trying to hide. I guess the guy in the costume couldn't see very well because at some point he stood on a kids foot making them scream and cry, which only made the scared kids more hysterical with fear.
For years afterwards, my little brother (who was a handful sometimes) could be made to behave just by people in the room threatening to summon Mr Wimpy.

>>21382295 (OP)I worked at a McDonaldโs as an 18 year old, small town and had a notable elderly regular. I caught him once drawing airplanes with a designerโs eye one day while I was getting off shift, and I asked if I could sit down and talk with him, as I was very interested in drawing at the time and thought he looked like an interesting man. This is obviously strange of me looking back but I grew up on books and thought people just talked to each other if they took interest in each other irl. Anyway, it started awesome, turns out he was a retired aerospace engineer that worked at Boeing, including their Phantomworks division, where they make their literal top secret military experimental aircraft. He spent most of his time on the Apollo projects though, and worked since the 60โs, U think he said his most prideful work was leading the team designing the nosecone of Apollo 18. He was actually a wonderful find and an inspired man, but unfortunately, retirement had taken its toll on a brilliant mind. Took less than 30 minutes for the conversation to lean heavily towards his infatuation with the coming rapture, and the newspapers I always saw him with were full of margin writing โ he was gathering evidence from the fucking papers of the second coming of Jesus. I wasnโt sure if he was serious at first, but then he showed me his car; he had taken out the passenger seat, installed a makeshift bed, and stuffed the rear-left seat with emergency supplies. He told me that when a certain comet crosses the sky in about 2017, a cross will appear in the sky, and the rapture will begin. The car is so he can go inland to escape the tidal waves. I went to church with him once, grabbed lunch another time, tried to make it work, but all he was interested in was converting me to his religion and convincing me of impending doom. This story gets weirder though, to the realm of bullshit. (1/2)
>>21382616I used to be a shitty, very poor person and years ago my wife had a friend who would occasionally ask me to watch her dog while she was at class and she had a huge thing of change and I would steal $3-4 of quarters from it and then buy a bunch of chicken nuggets from BK when they had 10/$1. My whole point though was that I'd pay with quarters and dimes at the BK drivethrough and they never batted an eye. But I lived in a not great area so it was probably a common thing.
>>21385063(2/2) Pic related: a souvenir he left me, guyโs name was Vince Weldon, you can verify the Wikipedia page yourself. After we had met a few times in the McDonaldโs and spoke, there was one occasion where a middle-aged man in a pretty nice suit and a touch of grey in his neat hair came up to talk to us out of the blue. I thought it odd to be approached by a professional like this in a McDonaldโs, but I also wasnโt that on-guard since I had essentially done the same cold approach with Vince. This guy seemed sharp, and clearly dressed professionally, but within a couple sentences of introduction, he starts saying straight-faced bullshit to us, going on about how he spent a couple years with fairies in the forests of South Carolina, and how theyโre an invisible race because their bodies vibrate at a such a pace that light refracts through them unless they want to be seen, shit like that. He was bouncing off of Vince, as Vince kept denying his story and reiterating that โwhat you saw were demonsโ and shit like that, and I wasnโt sure what to do with myself. I was 18 for fuckโs sake, I didnโt have worldly experience to understand what was going on. Anyway, he spoke with Vince for a good 30 minutes about these wild stories, and I never see him again. Looking back, a part of meโs convinced that this was a literal actual agent sent to make sure I wasnโt prying military secrets out of a retired engineer, as they probably knew his mental health was failing and I doubt theyโd just let him go about his business without any sort of checkup given his extensive history. He succeeded in pulling a lot of the crazy out of Vince and making what he said out to be nonsense after all. That or it was some Patrick Bateman wannabe, I really canโt say. Anyway, had I a few more years under my belt I wouldโve kept in touch and laid boundaries, but I regrettably ghosted him as I was, again, 18 and confused. Hope heโs well if heโs still around.

>>21382295 (OP)Its not really fucked up. But two years ago, when I was visiting my brother in Canada, I uber'd McDonalds late at night. Just a Big Mac, coke, and fries.

Uber guy never called about the mistake. Uber never contacted me. The shit fed me for the next few days.
That was pretty absurd.
>>21387751What do you even receive in exchange when you feed someone poor? You are merely justifying your odd and selfish behaviour by being righteous about it. You have nothing to stand on because even you aware of how much bullshit you are spewing out right now.
>>21387764I'm
>>21383634I can understand your point if you do something specifically for the kudos but doing the right thing to avoid feeling bad isn't remotely about righteousness.
I rarely get fast food but literally every single time I or my family do, it's because of a deal. For example, I went to Checkers yesterday for the first time inโฆ gosh, must've been a decade or moreโspecifically because they have a deal right now (burger or chicken sandwich, fries, drink and pie for $4; $5 to make it a large) so I decided to go there for lunch. Anyway, before I had a family, I once went to Burger King one morning because I had coupons for two croissan-wiches, two orders of hashbrowns and two extremely shitty coffees for $3 or some shit. On my way to work, I saw a homeless guy just sitting outside in the cold. I took half of the order out of the bag, called the guy over and handed him the bag with the other half. I didn't do it for praise or for the point of righteousness. I did it because I didn't need two meals and I would have felt absolutely awful if I had them both when this poor guy could have enjoyed one of them more I would have. No warm and fuzzies. Just not wanting to feel bad.
Similar thing happened a few years ago after going to Popeyes. Not-yet-missus and I got a 22-piece for cheap and we saw this guy digging through the rubbish for a meal. I felt bad and told her that I'm going to offer him a couple pieces of chicken since we're just three people and 22 pieces is overkill. I have him two breasts because none of us like white meat (I REALLY don't like white meat; my wife is black lmao). It didn't make me feel good to help him. It helped me avoid feeling bad.
Now, I have absolutely done things to feel good. Our meeting prepares and hands out sandwiches to the homeless in a nearby city. I could simply not go and I wouldn't feel bad about it but it absolutely does feel nice to help out.
>>21387870May I save this picture, please?
First time my family ever went to Chicago we visted this famous pizzeria who's name I forgot. They kept forgetting about us so it took us forever to get a table and get our order in. All of our pizzas where filled with glass, like BIG pieces of glass as if someone dropped a bunch of glass cups and decided to use our food to dispose of it. Shit was fucking weird.

>>21386761I was once in the Drive-Thru at Rite Aid for so long that I got through an entire race in Rally Cross (1997) on my van's playstation
Speaking of my precious van, my Grandma had a stroke nearly a year ago and that meant I suddenly became the sole person responsible for taking care of this house, all the bills, all the various insurances, and running our ceramic shop completely solo. Safe to say, I didn't exactly cope very well.
One of my early coping methods was food, as usual, there's a reason I used to weigh 500 lb. So what I would do is, I would drive my van to the nursing home to visit her, leave when they closed, then drive to Taco bell. I would order a bunch of food, two burritos, or two gordita crunches, it was often different items but usually five or six things, be those things tacos or burritos or something else.
And of course, a Baja blast. Sometimes I would take my car, sometimes I would take Grandma's equinox, but usually it was the van. I enjoy eating in my van, I can either stream my phone to the TVs I have in it through a miracast box or I can burn videos to DVD and play the DVD in the van.
My usual spot was the nearby mall, one of the anchor stores used to be a jcpenney's, and that store had three parking lots basically all to itself. I would park in one of them, underneath a tree, and sit there while I ate my late night Taco Bell and watch tv, or youtube, or a dvd, or whatever.
That's where things get a little bit weird though, on three different occasions there was this lifted Hummer with a raggedy American flag decal on either side and a lift kit that would come into the parking lot, slowly Drive circles around my van, and then park behind it for a while before eventually leaving.
Even though it was quite obvious that the van was running and I was watching tv, after all, I left the parking lights on and because the front windows aren't tinted it's pretty easy to see the tvs, especially at night. (1/2)
>>21388181Despite that, despite me specifically parking in a different spot one day to make it obvious that this van wasn't just abandoned here as some sort of homeless guy crack dungeon, the suspicious Hummer continued to be suspicious.
Sometimes I considered just getting out of the van and asking the dude what his problem was, but for all I know perhaps I would have just been shanked and had my van stolen if I was stupid enough to get out of it or unlock it.
Maybe he thought I was banging some chick in the back, but jokes on him, there's no way I would be able to hide that with the old shock absorbers and also I don't think there's a woman alive who would willingly get in my van without being paid.
This story is pretty boring I guess but it sticks with me because I never found out, and I may never find out, what that guy wanted. That store is being remodeled now for some sort of new business that I haven't heard of before, so I can't even take my old spot, it's all fenced in now.
And also I can't afford Taco Bell anymore because the nursing home is taking all of Grandma's social security. That's probably the bigger issue of the two. (2/2)
Anyone else like to get fast food late at night, park somewhere secluded, and eat it? You ever happen to see anything going on that you weren't supposed to see?

>>21384120>Referencing religionGood job proving his point
You only care about religion and God because there's a reward, a benefit in it for you
If the bible said "after you die, everyone will go to hell and suffer, you wouldn't be religious" or "there is no afterlife, whether good or bad you will simply cease to exist" you wouldn't be religious at all.
All religious people are only religious because they are promised a reward greater than their sacrifice on earth
Take that away and none of them will do it

Last time I ate in my car voluntarily was on the way to my brother's house at 10 PM. I was drinking and was getting hungry since I hadn't eaten all day. Wanted Taco Bell since the one by his house is usually not too busy. Forgot to ask him if he wanted anything until I was in the drive thru line already, so I decided to take my quesadilla to a shopping plaza down the road.
Parked the car and shut it down three rows from the only other car in the lot. There was a tax store with their neon signs still on but nothing on inside, all the other stores were long closed for the day.
As I'm burning my mouth on a freshly made quesadilla the only other car in the lot flashed his lights. Less than a minute later he just up and left. Not sure if I messed up a deal or something, didn't really think about it as I finished my quesadilla and beer.

I didnt really know what telltale drug user signs were at that point in my life but I think he was on meth. He stared at me the whole time, visibly hostile aura, presumably because I was interupting as I went to place an order and get my food.
I have been lucky and havnt had any food poisoning that I could immediately link to fast food (although a local pizza place, yes), nor seen anything crazy from behavior of others.
Although I did have a baconator that put about a gallon of mayo that did not taste right, took one bite and basically puked and did not go back there for 3 years. Thats the only time I can really remember taking a bite and just throwing the entire order away.

I drive about an hour back home and stop at a nearby taco bell. Im guessing this chicks co workers didnt show up, cause the store starts with lights on but switches off while im in line at the drive through but I know they are open much later. A drunk guy in a pickup is refusing to move when the girl inside says they are closed. The curb is kinda steep and there is no easy offroad way to go around this guy plus my car sits low to the ground. Im blocked in by someone behind me who doesnt understand whats happening. Girl comes out and talks to guy behind me and explains to me and him whats up. I get out and yell at the drunk guy to move his car and they are closed. He gets belligerant and swears at me but eventually moves. When I pull around out front shes waiting there and asks me if I want anything and I say just a crunchwrap. She makes me one for free.

>>21394299>while being able to afford fucking Bendhonestly I'm not even close to that, I'm only here because my parents were just barely able to afford a house here after selling their one in CA and I'm living with them. I'm gonna have to find a girlfriend to split rent with and some kind of decent job, which are few and far between, if I want any hope of living on my own in this region.
I saw my first cockroach at a cracker barrel when I was around 6 or 7 and it was on my plate right after the server set it down.
>>21394324>my parents were just barely able to afford a house here after selling their one in CAYep that's your average homeowner there now.
Hate to break it to you but it's only gonna get worse. The only places affordable left in OR are east of Redmond or really, really podunk coastie towns. I'm originally from Salem and considered moving back but it's full of crackheads now and a complete dump of a trap house in a bad neighborhood is at least $300k. I'm going to John Day because I can afford a home on a single income and it's not a total shithole.
Imo there's no reason trying to hack it in Bend unless you're a ski bum, it's a nice town but it'll drain your bank and the drug zombies are slowly but surely moving in just like every other city over there that was nice 15 years ago.
>>21394347Oh yeah believe it I'm well aware. I have to stick around for a while to help my parents out while they get settled and through some medical issues (resolvable thankfully) but then I'm gonna have to move on. I always wanted to fly planes for a living, started training in '19 and then covid fucked it, and Bend's got some pretty good schools so I'm gonna try to scrape my way through without getting completely raped by student loans and then I'll go wherever I can find flying work, probably Alaska or Idaho with the kind of flying I want to do.
I'm not sure what's gonna happen with the drug zombies. They just cleared the big China Hat infestation at the south end of town out and it seems like some are actually going back to the valley or something, I've seen noticeably less in midtown since they did it. They're also hell bent on gentrifying that whole area ASAP so I'm not sure where they're gonna go here, other than the area between Bend and Redmond where there are already large encampments, everywhere else is pretty much either uninhabitable even for them or private ranch/farm land where the owners probably won't bother calling the cops. That aside though I think it's really a national problem and I don't know that there's anywhere that's both nice and is big enough to have jobs and amenities that isn't dealing with similar shit.

I've resigned myself to living in tiny towns to survive. Luckily the nature of my job allows that. I've been in a town of <500 for 6 years and love it. There's less to do and I have to drive over an hour to get cheap groceries but usually the town is more affordable, plus I don't even like city people anymore. Embrace isolation anon it's worth it.
It's good that they cleared out China Hat though, that place has been a cesspool for years. They'll be back though. Thanks to Elon all of the land management agencies have all been gutted so there's no one to even try to keep the squatters out. The only thing that will remove them permanently is the place inevitably burning to the ground in a giant wildfire.

>>21382295 (OP)I'm was 12 or 13, I was at a jack in the box with my dad, about 100 miles away from home. My dad goes into the bathroom and I begin to get nervous. The reason we are 100 miles away from home is he's come to LA to buy heroin. Time starts passing, no idea how long because this was before smart phones and before kids my age had phones. It felt like a really long time, not longer than hour but an extremely unusual amount of time to be in the bathroom even if you're doing drugs. I too afraid to go in because I know what's in there. After awhile a guy goes into the bathroom and comes out, goes to the counter and says that someone is dying in the bathroom. I don't know what to do, I'm 100 miles away from home, I don't have a cell phone, my dad doesn't have a cell phone, I do know how to use pay phones so I'm not completely cut off from my world. At this point I don't say a thing, I don't get involved, in retrospect the staff probably had some idea that I was connected to the guy in the bathroom but at that moment I was separate from what was unfolding. They call the paramedics, who arrive and start working on my dad, I can't see what's happening at all because I'm still sitting where I was eating kind of frozen in this surreal situation. Eventually they wheel him out on the stretcher and I realized that unless I speak up I'm going to be a little kid stuck in downtown LA, far from home and the only way to communicate would be calling collect on a pay phone. I remember the walk of shame up to the paramedics. "Yeah that's my dad on the stretcher and I'm here alone with him".
Anyways they brought him back, I guess he was technically dead at some point but they managed to keep the sorry bastard around. 20 years late he's the meanest, most bitter, psychopathic and angry person I'll ever know, he's cartoonish levels of dysfunctional. Maybe he would have been better off dying that day.
