But since my school forced students to take two sports electives too graduate (how they're considered electives when they're actually requisites, I'll never know) so I picked swimming and track. They said "no, one has to be a team sport" so I picked one I was sure to suck at so that they'd never put me in play: lacrosse. Turns out, skinny, fast guys are great at lacrosse so they kept me in. I started to work out to be better at both swim and lacrosse and bulked up considerably by graduation, 177lbs of mostly muscle. Not as big as other guys my height who worked out but considering my disadvantage as someone who simply cannot build or keep muscle or fat easily (damn you, Asian genes!) it was an accomplishment. I strongly recommend looking into diet and exercise specifically for building muscle. Starting skinny is significantly easier to get somewhere positive that starting fat.

There's this old dude in my neighborhood who exercises outside in front of his house every morning. I see him on my runs from time to time if I leave later than my usual 5am go time
