I always hated it when a celebrity chef or food tuber would say to use a neutral oil. Lick my oily asscrack. I will use olive oil or butter. I don’t fucking care if I can taste it. These people just make up definitions of what is correct that operate off of circular logic as a shit test to see if you will submit to their absurdities.

You're a fucking retard. There are reasons for everything. And often a neutral oil will have a higher smoke point, which may be important.
You have a paranoid and suspicious mind there. I've written dozens of recipes over the years. I'm pretty sure no one adds things to see if anyone will "submit to their absurdities". How would they even know what anyone does with their recipes anyway?

You people baffle me.
You want something to be upset about, bitch about Martha Stewart or Ina Garten telling everyone to use "good" olive oil. Implying what we have isn't good and that the recipe won't work with the store brand or something they don't consider good; meaning bought at some Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard boutique store for thrice the regular price.

I'm told you need to use a neutral oil for mayo but I use olive oil from time to time and find it makes a much better mayo than vegetable oil.
>inb4 olive oil mayo exists
Yes I'm aware I just find it weird that in every recipe I come across and even videos not once have I seen "Hey you can sub in olive oil"

These are mostly American content creators, where olive oil is mostly complete shit unless you pay out the nose and butter is watered down crap. Same with kosher salt. What the fuck is that? There are no jews where I live, so nobody calls it that.

You’ll notice all euro recipes say to use olive oil or butter, because it’s how man was meant to cook.

Something without a strong taste like say, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, mustard seed oil, or coconut oil.

It seems that even in europe, and if you pay a lot. You're still getting adulterated slop as here is a fucking olive oil cartel, much in the way the cartel in america fucks with avacados

Thank you. Humans call it "coarse salt" or "finishing salt" but they'll never understand in the land of judeo-masonic infant genital mutilation.
