Ever find good food in the trash before?
I found a fresh pineapple once.

i ve found a huge garlic on the side of the road dont know it it was tossed, dropped, or simply grew there, it lasted 2 months

No, but sometimes I leave good leftovers for the homeless, hanging on the side of the bin.

Distribution centers for snacks are great when you can get into their dumpsters. They're often full of things that didn't sell and were sent back after the date was up. In high school me and the boys would hit up TastyKake and Frito Lay for absolute cases of pies and chips.

A neighbour used to manage a Popeyes and would bring trash bags full of untainted chicken, biscuits and sides home to share with the rest of the block just to keep him and his lonely mum company.

I worked in a cold storage distribution center for a while, if something was wrong with it ie didn't pass FDA testing it gets destroyed, purely to cover our asses from lawsuits. Now if it was something like product arriving damaged/we damaged it, the company would buy the product and it'd go to the free-for-staff spot.

Oddball stuff (that wasn't suspect) also went there, of if a driver showed up with something on their truck a previous stop refused. One guy showed up with two full pallets of Klondike bars and we had them off him for free.

Over a decade ago I got all my food from dumpsters. Unless it's changed you're wasting time looking behind fast food places. I went behind grocery stores and occasionally bakeries. I had three fridges and they were all full of food. Name brands, meats, seafood.

i live in a city with a bunch of thirdie immigrants who go to the food bank, pick out what they dont want, and leave it in a box by the bins for other bums to pick over. i also go trough the trash when people move or get evicted and take shit like pasta, rice, canned stuff, vitamins, dry spices and condiments.
