you can't buy em any more, they've been replaced by tons of super sweet alternatives. I like cereal occasionally... as a dessert, with some fruit and maybe some granola.... and without any of those nasty marshmallows or whatever

They don't even sell it in a lot of places either
t. eater of cornflakes

Btw did you know cornflakes has 4 whole grams of sugar in it per serving? I thought this shit had zero. Why does it even have sugar and 4 grams at that? That's a lot of sugar when I don't think it even makes a difference in taste

It seems like people collectively stopped eating cereal for breakfast. But it seemed to happen independently of the media because you don't really hear this mentioned. It's really odd.

I've loved plain corn flakes since I was a kid. But they are overpriced for something not so filling. Oats are a lot cheaper and more nutritious even at minuscule amounts.

> people collectively stopped eating cereal for breakfast.

I've noticed this too.
When I was a kid, 35 now, anyway, we ate cereal morning noon and night. All the fucking time. My kids won't touch the stuff. I've tried "healthy" cereal and the goyest of the slop. They simply won't eat it. Neither will any of their friends.
I won't either, because am an adult, but I find the situation strange.

Dr John Kellogg originally had them with no sugar because he didn't want people to get excited and masturbate. His brother took the recipe, mass marketed it with some added sugar for flavor, and eventually his brother won the rights to the name Kellogg.

True story. That's why it has sugar.

Graham Crackers were originally unsweetened for that specific purpose as well. It seemed to be a popular belief at the time.
