why are meat flavored snacks (that aren't meat themselves like pork rinds or jerky) so uncommon? even when you do find potato chips that are supposed to taste like some kind of meat, more often than not they only taste like the seasoning that you would find on the meat with no actual meat flavor. it's not like the technology to create the flavorings doesn't exist. is there secretly some kind of vegetarian mafia controlling the snack industry?

i went to siberia once and the only chip flavors there were cheese, onion, paprika, and meat. shashlik and beshbarmak flavor lays are s tier

Lays made a Brazilian steakhouse chip that was fried in beef fat because that flavor won some competition. Then it left, and we are worse for it

I wouldn’t say these taste like shrimp per se, but they are in my opinion edible.

Okay but isn't the real question is why there aren't more snack-flavored meats? Like who's dick I gotta suck to get cool ranch dorito chicken nuggets?
