I found the secret to good movie popcorn at home is more about adding a shitload of the butter flavored coconut oil the the pot. More than they recommend.

dunno, why don't you try it and find out for yourself because even though you probably feel like you're such a "free thinker" you come to an anonymous image board to ask some backwards version of permission for a fucking popcorn dressing.

"Flavacol" sounds like some orange dust they dropped from helicopters over dense jungle canopy in 'Nam to flush out insurgents and burn the foliage down to ash. Is it safe to eat?
been using flavacol for the past 5 years, great addition.
while we're on the topic of good addition to popcorn cooking, any of y'all tried water? I add about half a cup to my pot, after covering the bottom with vegetable oil. it helps spreading the temperature evenly and, while it does slowdown the cooking, I seem to get about 20% more popped grains on average.

Not a meme, just bought it a month ago. Tastes like the movies with melted butter too. I like to use 2/3rd's of what the side says, the recipe is too salty. Also optionally, add coconut oil.

I've heard of people pre-soaking their popcorn kernels.
The idea is that more water inside the kernel would generate more steam, and result in a bigger pop.
I tried it and it doesn't work. The kernels come out more dense and chewy in a bad way.
