I add a slice of processed cheese to mine. So cheesy and dreamy.

I'm a little jealous. My cheese slices never survive the drive home.

the heat of the water cooks the noodle

you gonna mod it or do the vanilla route?

I raided my fridge and tried to make something interesting
>boiled sliced mushrooms in spicy soup base
>hit the top with a handful of extra sharp cheddar, could have used more
>slice of mesquite turkey from the deli
I think it turned out tasty for instant shin

This is a massive luxury.

Not because it's expensive, but because I'm on keto and I'm not allowed to eat them despite loving them.

It's a lot better, but is it really "twice the cost" better?

too spicy

Yeah, this one is the king because it comes with an extra bag of seasoning and has so much more flavor.

Both are good though.

Just don't add the whole packet
Also, when you add other ingredients, it will dilute the spiciness

sliced hard boiled egg, a few slices of lightly fried spam, some parmesan and scallions sprinkled on top. you've got a legit A tier meal for cheap.

>he doesn't have 12 shoyu infused half boiled eggs with creamy yolks ready for when hunger hits
Cmon now, this little fella adds flavour and protein to any minute lamen

You can overdo garlic, salt or whatever other spice and addition to a meal. These noodles overdo the spice. The x1 is spicy enough to frighten normies while still being tolerable and importantly, being able to distinguish flavours other than spice. The x2 throws it out the window.

People say that with buldak but there is more than just heat in the sauce pack. They can be bland without the whole thing. As you said though adding stuff brings the heat down. it's a waste to have decent noodles with nothing added anyway. some frozen greens and a bit of protein, it doesn't even really matter what kind.

Everywhere I shop it's the same price? Some supermarkets try to captilaise on the meme and make certain brands more expensive for sure but the places I shop stock a good 30-40 different kinds and they all cost about the same.

Unironically too spicy for me. Burns the fuck out of my mouth so much that it's painful to keep eating.
I'll stick with like, indian and mexican spicy, Koreans and Hillbillies are psychotic. If you like it more power to you.

>Everywhere I shop it's the same price?
Oh, in that case it's a no brainer. Here it's like 12 bucks for the Shin Black and like 7 for the regular, and they go down to 10 and 5 respectively on sale so it really is twice as much.

Damn for me it's about $8-9 for a 5 pack of whatever kind. Buldak, Shin, Nissin etc. Buying them as singles is way more, like $2.50ea. Single cups are ridiculous usually $4-5. it's annoying though if I want to try a new flavour I always buy a 5 pack because it feels like a scam to do anything else. But then if it's shit I have to eat 5 packs...There's quite a lot of really shitty instant noodle out there.

I agree though, you can literally smell the capsaicin through the bag and its just too much, it kills all other flavors. But the problem is its hands down the best ramen there is. I prefer the milder "carbonara" and "cheese" Buldaks they have.but if you can only get the regular spicy version I just use like 75% of the spice sauce and leave a bit more water in the broth so everything isn't coated in lava sauce.

I guess fats nuke spice so maybe just tossing in some cheese or plain yoghurt into a regular Buldak might make it palateable.

a tablespoon of butter really mellows out the ridiculous spice if you add it during the stir fry

and as much as the koreans know about ramen, they know fuck all about cheese so the cheese powder you get is pretty useless, hence the added fresh parmesan

both of these taste instantly the same when you add that spicy packet its so overpowering. kind of sick of that taste desu has anyone replaced the spicy powder with gochujang or something? tips?
Anonymous No.21435683 [Report]
>>21435521
added maybe 3 tablespoons of gochujang plus the packet. just worked. went from 7/10 to 10/10. broth got really thick and stewy. really rewarding aftertaste. unlocked something new.

You gotta invest in a real block of cheese. A few chunks of pepper jack melted down over the noodles is exquisite.

>>21435521
Gochujang, chili oil, afforementioned pepper jack slices, sriracha sauce if necessary.

Add mushroom soysauce, and sesame seed oil, and garlic. Then add fresh, butrered bread slices on the side. Other options: mushrooms, cooked chickpeas, spinach.
