I had Picanha for the first time yesterday. Why isn't it more popular than it is in north america? It's like a better Strip loin. It was tiny, but one of the best steaks I've had.

Not very tender and a the piece of connective tissue between the meat and the fat cap ruins rhe entire steak.

I used to live in a share house that often had Brazilian short terms.
Man theyโ€™re just better cooks than me and thatโ€™s fine. I love the way they did it. Must have been the amount of salt they chucked on.

Knife is good.
Yeti is not mine.

I do like the taste a lot.
On the other hand it has serious intermittent gristle if I just slice the big 6-7 pound vacuum packs they sell it in and fry it as steaks. I wouldn't serve it to someone else.

They sell it for about what it's worth. Please don't gas it up until they decide they can sell it for prime rib prices.
