It really is. Why does he do it? He has to know how fucking annoying it is.
Is it engagement bait, so that people comment on how irritating it is when they otherwise wouldn't have left any comment?

It's like Bob Dylan's singing. Once you get used to it you wouldn't have it any other way. Or not, you do you. After all you are the rolling stone...of finding a Youtuber chef to call your own.

P.S. Does anyone actually put cayenne in everything like Chef John does? I swear I've seen him put that stuff in sweet baked goods.

yeah, the ol tappa tappa. he could just say it like that. instead he says
>thee ollll tAHHHppa tappa
>>21438736
how do my ears suck? you mean you like how he deliberately does a roller coaster in tones through every sentence?
>>21438741
yes, its engagement bait. he has to do somethign that makes him stand out i guess. his little sayings like
>freakishly small wooden spoon
>after all you are you ... of your ....
>ol tappa tappa
are fine and funny. but the way he has to deliberately say them in the up and down cadence, fuck him

also, yeah i do put it in a lot of stuff now. i never used to use it until finding his recipes. but i really like the extra spice it adds to almost everything while not being big pieces n the way like red pepper flakes

i mean i hated the weird talking cadence at first too but it's a bit funny and i don't mind it anymore.

in his very old videos he talks normally anyway. maybe he talks like that to be memorably quirky or funny, or to stand out, you know, youtube and all.

i actually bought some cayenne because of him. it's not bad. a pinch on everything doesn't hurt.
