Was BK ever the best fast food place? I keep hearing people say when it was good, was it better than McDonald’s and Wendy’s?

BK has great food but has never been able to deliver that good because of poor staffing philosophies.

They always have a bare bones crew made up of the dumbest most miserable people ever. Food is cold and gross because of that.

If BK actually paid for decent staff like Culvers or Chic Fil A it would be far more successful in the long run.

Their chicken products are mid as fuck though.

BK when made properly can be damn good. However, poor staffing, poor training, little care on the employees end make it have the poor reputation.

It was pretty good back in the 90's. In N Out wasn't available outside cali at that point, and whattaburger wasn't all over the place where I lived at the time, so as far as fast food went, BK was king. By the 2000's, BK was cooked, and headed for burnt. Somewhere in the 2010's, Whattaburger got bought out buy some scumbag hedge fund, so they're trash now, too. These days, I go to a local burger joint that beats any fast food option I know of.

BK was really good in the 90s expect for the fries. The pro move back then was picking up burgers from BK and then driving to the nearest McDonald's for fries and nuggets to make a super fast food meal. Btw who is that qt 3.14?

BK was good like 2 decades ago, back when they actually flame broiled their meat. Now it's some thin ass goop patty that doesn't taste like anything, which is deliberate to make it taste like dry shit - aka the impossible whopper.

And it did mog both McDicks and Wendys. Fries were better, burgers were bigger, and overall just a better experience. BACK THEN.

All the kids knew, you went to BK for the delicious food, the BIG KIDS MEAL, the fries crisp but soft inside, the burgers flame grilled, juicy, smokey, cheesey, nuggets so tender and perfectly peppered

You only went to McDonalds at that time when they had better toys, which was often, but BK was for the food

Burger King has much higher variability than McDonald's. Corporate is far looser with standards and more hands off with franchisees. The equipment used is far less standardized, staffing levels and procedures is mostly up to the location owner. I suspect that Burger King franchisees own more locations than is the case with McDonald's. Burger King can be alright if it has a good owner but terrible if there's a bad owner, like the locations in Atlanta owned by Magic Johnson.
As for Chick-fil-a, franchisees are limited to one location and they must work it full time. That puts them in a completely different world than McD's or BK.
