On the contrary, I'm more surprised that they didn't have fruit sandwiches overseas. I mean, what have you guys been doing with bread as your staple food?

Fruit sandwiches are supposed to be filled with whipped topping. I demand it be made again.

Fruit sandwiches are a classic Japanese thing.

Japanese one looks better.
There are more than twice as much fruit in Japan.

Fruit sandwiches are a Japanese tradition

Korea will say, โ€œStrawberry sandwiches originated in our countryโ€ again.

Oh no. England has gone gastronomical.

I'm glad to hear you call it a Japanese strawberry sandwich! In Korea, they will say it originated in their country.

Combined with the fact that Japan won this year's World Confectionary Competition for the second year in a row, it seems that Japanese confectionaries are attracting worldwide attention.

After the egg sandwich, the fruit sandwich was exposed. The last stronghold, the pork cutlet sandwich

It seems odd to me because in the UK thry only think of sandwiches as salty flavored.

I know Japanese bread is known as fluffy and chewy in the world, but what about British bread? It looks a little dry to me.

I mean, the British, I didn't know they were interested in food.

Sooner or later, France or Korea will claim the origin. No, France will claim the right and interest. Because they did it before.

The fish and chips are not good either, seriously, HUB in Japan is better.

I don't think there is any cream in the world as good as Japanese cream, and I am sure that in Japan you would be bowled over!

England, you made a big deal out of the strawberry variety patent issue with Korean farmers before.
You're very particular about berries.

There are also ears and that hard-looking bread doesn't fit. I think foreigners really don't have the ability to understand the true essence

That Japan's food culture is decades ahead of the rest of the world, and that foreign food culture has been stagnant for a long time.

The strawberry shortcake has been a staple in England since like, idk, sometime in the 19th century? The "fruit sandwich" is just a low-rent version of that.

That's not Japanese. You can tell because they removed the leafy part of the strawberry. Japs would freak out if they saw you do that.

We already have, Anything that can be eaten has been put into a sandwich here. To say the japanese invented this, is just a big hype/joke.

I have eaten this before as a kid in the late 60s, also bananas, raspberries, blackberries, mandarin slices, etc. It's nothing new.

Would be nice to see more fresh fruit and cream sandwiches. The bread is really just an edible napkin, which is all you want sometimes when a cake or something with the fruit and cream would be too heavy.

Just found out the Japs never really had a dairy farming tradition until the fifteenth century at the very least and most of their population have to engage in a struggle to digest any lactose rich foods. Dairy products were never part of the traditional diet of them so any claims of them inventing a 'cream and fruit sandwich' is laughable and inherently hilarious.
Not only did the the peoples of the British Isles have ample access to dairy infinitely, they were also the ones to invent the sandwich in the first place.
