I like the ones I make. I typically only put something simple like sour cream, ricotta, or cottage cheese on it when I make mine. Maybe some maters but I don't normally keep maters.

Shit-tier sandwiches are shit-tier, try eating a good one.
Alternately, it's gilding the lily. A steak is already good. Even if you're eating a good steak sandwich, the steak is the best part and you probably wish you were just eating the steak

was just thinking about this earlier. I'll make anything else a sandwich except steak
for me it's a combination of loving it as a kid rarely having it, then discovering rare was so much better than my parents common overcooking, a steak is most satisfying as one, you could even eat slices of steak and snack on a slice of decent bread and enjoy both more.

Because cheap steaks are too chewy for a sandwich unless you slice them ultra thin, in which cast you have a roast beef sandwich, which is very good.

This, sandwich meat shouldnโ€™t be chewy or tough, because if it is you end up mashing cheese sandwich paste into a piece of meat every bite

Teriyaki steak bomb, or steak tip sub with onions and peppers are great. Fre ch dip is pretty snazzy too
Op is an idiot. Saging this. Some one with such poor taste doesn't deserve a bump.

steak sandwiches suck when they arenโ€™t cut properly. they need to be very thinly sliced or diced to not be too chewy and pull off a big slab in one bite. equivalent of your cheese falling off your pizza

some steak sandwiches kickass

Steak is too thick to be good for a sandwich. Unless it's sliced super thin, beef is far too tough to be a sandwich meat

that's a very good question 2bh, I do not have the answer, since, to begin with, I've never had steak sandwiches, I believe it might have something to do with sandwich = cheap and steak = expensive

very good insight in the thread, from whcih I deduce the optimal steak for steak sandwitch might be filet mignon, with some sort of roasted garlic, olive oil and maybe tomato (all of these roasted) dressing, maybe add fries to the sandwich as well, and a nice cheese, probably not cheddar

Totally agree. Not the right kind of texture for a sandwich. Definitely only shaved beef for sandwiches.

Cook a great steak, then cut it into thick bacon thick slices once it's settled enough to retain its moisture, and then pile them into a sandwich.
