I explained this to my (literal) boomer relatives on the 4th. That their generation taught mine in school that everything on the internet is forever. That you should never use your real name anywhere at all. That you can NEVER take any picture offline. They just looked at me blankly and then went back to showing me AI bullshit from their facebook groups where everyone is posting the most insane shit, tied directly to their full name and profile picture. It's like there's a tiny moment where people who grew up with the internet were taught to fear it (rightfully so) and then it all went out the window because the whole fucking internet is just 3 sites of social media platforms. Zoomers have told me that the line between their internet persona and their actual person doesn't exist anymore and that's just insane to me.

I don't fucking want these features, are you able to abstract that I'm talking about the general consumer? Not you? Also they definitely do surprise deals. I would know because I left it on for a couple months to see what the fuck they would do. If you ignore them they make a "personalized" deal some time either around 11AM or 2PM to try to get you to re-engage. It's basic customer retention, anon. I know professional marketers for doordash and they tell me that they actively do this shit and it works on low impulse, habitual shoppers which is a fucking LOT of people, dude.
