>>21455782 (OP)>For me it's the banh mi. As Anthony Bourdain said, a symphony in a sandwichRIP Bourdain. Truly missed. I adore a bahn mi, but really no local source within an hour of my house. I like the lemongrass pork version. I've noticed the pate is getting to be an optional ingredient and being left out of bahn mi's most everywhere I order them lately (usually during travel). Liver hating people, I suppose. To me, it's a perfect sandwich through and through. If I had a jewish deli near me, I'd be ordering the chopped liver too.
I am really fond of a cuban sandwich, from the pan con lechon with crispy chicharron and lime marinated onions, to the pan con bistec with papas fritas and onions w/cilantro and parsley, to the frita burger with a smush of maduro plantain, to the croqueta preparada, pressed with garlic butter.
