They also have new special edition menu items that appear regularly, their shrimp burgers are tasty, and their chicken nuggets are cheaper and a whole tier above the nuggets you get in North America. McDonald's in Japan is great.

Now when I go to McDonald's at home I can only get half of what I used to be able to get for the same amount of money spent, usually have to wait 20 minutes for my order, and then when it's given to me the bag is ripped and the sandwiches are sloppy. So I just don't go to McDonald's anymore.

It's easier to market to demographics when theyre mostly the same ethnicity and they're crammed into a country the size of California with 4x the population of the state. Let's say 1/20 Americans are weebs, would it make sense to run a maid cafe themed promotion across the nation or maybe just regionally? If McDonald's was staffed with cute maids I would eat there every day. I wouldn't even consider other restaurants if I could go to a McMaid Cafe. You get fries and the maid draws a heart with ketchup for them. She does a cute pose and winks as she hands you your McNuggets. I would absolutely love this and start eating 2+ meals a day there.

Back then the commercials were all about having a nice time with your family at the restaurant and made it seem like if you go there everybody will enjoy the meal and have a nice time.
