>>21464242I get where you're coming from. I just think you should be incredibly ashamed of what happened to you. I don't think it's traumatic or bad, but I don't know how you can see the humor in it. My dad might say something like that in an ironic way to me as an adult, because it would be like him embodying a truly dumb character like your father was.
Your dad sincerely raised you with his scumbag sensibilities, and I guess that's just how it works. I naively assumed that someone like that would want to raise his own kid to be smarter and different, but that's just my normalcy bias. Your dad surely thought that he WAS imparting real wisdom to you with that kind of comment. His father was no genius either. Maybe it gets a little better each generation. If you actually procreate you'll be a better dad than yours was just for being sober. And you'll know that in polite society there are things not to teach your kids. But the fact that you're here means you may have already gone too far in a certain direction and might be an incel or something.
I come here because I'm bored, I'm in a bit of a life rut, and I fell in love with this place many years ago before it was overrun with (sincere) ignorance and hatred. When my life is at its peaks I'm not here.
It's like watching trash TV in that I feel better about myself compared to people like you.
But I really would help if I could. I just don't like that you're defending your dead dad. You realize he wasn't a good role model and that he raised you wrong. It would be better if you had regrets about that and admitted them.
>>21464285There are "fruity" drinks that are considered gay. And they're exactly as you described. Soft drinks like Yoohoo really don't count though.
There are ways to get drinks you can stomach without having it be so obvious though. You don't need umbrellas and fruit or cans of that girly shit advertising your less-than-masculine tastes. At least you go out and mix it up.
