Potatoes deserve way more respect. Restaurants should serve French fries alone as a main dish with a side of mini burgers and sauces.
Potato do no care too hot. Potato do no care too cold. Potato no get much water? Please, it no need much water. Potato get too much water? Is time for BIG potato. Potato do no have need of anything no even gravity. In space, scientist of russia have grow potato. They eat the space potato, it taste like ground potato. Potato survive anywhere. Potato survive everywhere. Tomato is squishy, it get bruise from walk in crate to car of farm. Not potato. Potato no care if you deliver to supermarket with bat of the baseball. You hit onion? You now have squash onion. You hit potato? Now you have many piece of potato. Can eat raw. Can boil. Can fry. You can throw in fire and eat like bear, potato? Still good. Cut up and use as stamp. With knife, chop to correct size, can use to fill hole in boat. You can turn potato into vodka, for drink or maybe even use run car engine.
>>21467032 (OP)Fries make the best sloppa too. Both poutine and carne asada fries are 11/10.
>>21467056Why is there a mini version of everything? Mini oranges, mini onions (aka shallots) , mini apples.
Does that mean gnomes are real
French fries are overrated. Potato mash is the correct side for steaks
Anyways grains ultimately won. I can buy 1kg barley groats for 0.5€ = nutritionally 5kg potatoes (4€). Just not worth it even though potatoes taste way better
>>21467124>expensiveAre you in canada or something?
>>21467136comparing calorie content, it would be cheaper for me to purchase quinoa than 10lb of russet potato from walmart.com in a large east coast USA city
>>21467139>potatoes are too expensiveGet a fucking job you lazy neet. Literally one of the cheapest foods out there.
in evrope there are those belgian fry places that focus mainly on fries. I really like those, just getting lots of fries and mayo / other sauce
at home, they are not worth the effort. rice mogs them in terms of tastiness and ease of making at home. also like the other guy said, potatoes are not even that cheap
>>21467156It has already been established that potatoes are relatively expensive and provide no benefit over grains. I must assume that you are either a shill for the potato industry or an unfortunate soul who has obtained too many potatoes and is now seeking external validation for a poor carb choice.

My guy, it's just rectified grain alcohol sold for 5 times the price
>>21467175What should we be paying per potato? 5 cents?
>>21467478Sight unseen, considering the nutritional value and median weight within the USDA size guidelines as 7.5oz, and assuming 5% is lost as spoiled or otherwise inedible, and deducting slightly for labor (cleaning, trimming, cutting), I would personally not spend more than 8 cents for a medium spud.
>>21467032 (OP)>KinoHoly ghey... what a colossal faggot
>>21467032 (OP)Agreed. I wish ordering just fries was more common.
Potato haters are all from third world countries.
