The entire business model of Lidl is to offer the cheapest goods possible and use every psychological trick possible to hook low IQ customers who don't notice what is being done to them. The entire reason their shit is cheap is because they cheat you out on everything. There isn't one food in Lidl that isn't watered down and the ingredients aren't swapped out with much cheaper cancerous alternatives. It's palm oil, saw dust, water and soy packaged to look like food.

You are quite right, but the quality of the thick sliced bacon was usually OK and it seems like they do these crazy sales but don't have the stock to support it. As you can see 99% of the stuff I buy is pretty pure except for the pie filling. So they can't at least screw that up unless they don't have it which is the case.

Also, I looked on their site. They honestly don't even stock much of this stuff. Really uncanny.

The good stuff is positioned strategically around the store to make you go through a pre-made route where you will pass the stuff they want to sell you.
