This is one of the very best snacks and I love it when stores have it. What's your favorite kind of pinwheel?

Looks like a western sushi roll? Never had this. Does it have some kind of sauce or toppings like sushi gets wasabi and ginger?

Love it when they forget to cut the pinwheels so I can eat like, 5 or 6 in one go.
Wish there was a name for that.

I would try this. What is the wrapping made of? I like those cured meats and cheeses. Is it easy to eat it with chopsticks or do you use hands? Fork?

Those were called "donkey hooves" at my local winn Dixie when I was a kid. My parents would act like it's a real treat when they'd buy it, and then I wouldn't eat it because the lettuce and tomato would be soggy and disgusting.

If you want to be pedantic, wraps have their ends closed (or just one) and pinwheels do not. Still the same ingredients and rolling process.

>>21472191
Pinwheels are better for storing cold, the bread doesn't sog up like sub/sandwich bread. Great for making in advance for events. The real advantage is being able to eat multiple types of sandwiches when these are served as a party tray at events.

Checked, and yeah, they're standard fare at any "catered" office job lunch, presumably purchased at the local supermarket deli by some middle manager, served with snack bags of potato chips and cans of soda (probably including Sierra Mist).

The rolling process and ingredient distribution is different for pinwheels and wraps. The wrap material is also different.

Marmite, onion and cheese. I haven't made them in a few years but I've loved them since I was a kid. A bakery nearby does a fair version but it has no onion.

you're not necessarily using a tortilla, some places use lavash or some other kind of really thin flatbread. in fact I'd say tortilla is the lazy way to do it
