I love this shit with some honey and vaniller extract squirted in but it's fucking $8 a tub and I go through one in like 2 servings. I just cant justify it anymore, I have to eat plain old non-greek yogurt nowadays.

Why would they remove the sugar? You need sugar and carbs to make your brain run at peak levels. If you accidentally go into ketosis you'll lose your hair and go bald.

I don't believe these are for being "active" when you do need that glycogen. Personally, I wouldn't carry around and consume greek yogurt for that purpose.

Where did you get this bullshit? LOL, no one needs sugar and carbs. And you can't really avoid some anyway.
>peak levels
You're a retard. Also, sugar is ADDED to yogurt; it's not naturally occurring. The question is why would the have added it in the first place? For those "peak levels"? LOL

They wanted to make greek yogurt marketable as a dessert or something to add into parfait or whatever.

Making your own hummus takes 5 minutes. Slice up some type of vegetable and have at it.

Unless you're getting a few days of snacking off of that, I'd stay away from yogurt - it's got a hell of a carb load. Maybe switch to cottage cheese and pair it with some grapes.

OP, what I do is I buy single serving cups (~5 oz) of Fage plain Greek yogurt and mix in 1 teaspoon of raw honey and eat it. I get the full fat variety because it tastes excellent and I don't eat shit so I can afford the (healthy) fats and calories, but there are 3 levels of fat/calories, and the 0% fat really isn't bad, either (and it's like 40 fewer calories per cup).
I eat it with a dining teaspoon, and I measure the honey into the spoon and mix it up and eat it, so it's no extra work or clean up.
All together, with the 0% fat yogurt it's like 105 calories per serving with 1g4 protein and 5g sugar. It's my go-to
>in4 someone calls it Faggot yogurt
There, it's been done.

All that said, I don't have many other not-shit snacks in my arsenal and I'd like more suggestions.

get real greek yogurt like Fage brand
and mix it with muesli

as for healthy snacks, you can roast chickpeas or soybeans in the oven. and season them how you want

Plain yogurt has close to the same amount of sugar as fresh milk, the fermentation doesn't actually get rid of that much. The zero sugar yogurt has to use ultra-filtered milk to get rid of the sugar.

Anyway most people do better with some carbs even if it's not necessary to live. And some people do better with starch rather than sugar.

eat large starchy meals with plenty of fiber and no fat and you won't need to snack. IN fact you'll only need to eat twice a day.

I like how the entire tub of 0% Fage (am a wagee, the cases say "fah-yeh" on them) is only 450 calories.

Meanwhile, people keep buying up the Yoplait strawberry tubs which have 550, the protein versions having less but sell slower.

Fun fact: yoplait protein cups contain real sugar. but the tubs do not.

They have to make it marketable and yoplait has proven that sweetening and adding fruit flavor helps.
But it's still healthy as fuck when you pick the right variety. Unfortunately, not many have "plain" varieties in single serve cups. I've only ever seen plain non-greek yogurt single serves in private labels. Dannon makes a tub of plain where yoplait doesn't make one at all.

Got into yoghurt mixed with leftover chicken and veg like courgettes, tomatoes, peppers. Really good way of eating yoghurt. Salt and pepper, olive oil.
