my math teacher said that that was mathematically design to spend the least amount the material possible, meaning the specific cylindrical shape

your math teacher is retarded. if you calculate the surface area of a normal can, and 12oz slim can they are nearly identical, with a slim can having slightly more surface area (more material).
shorter, wider cylinders are always more efficient volume to surface area ratio.

I fucking hate it. the shelves in my fridge are not suited for taller cans. they dont fit well in cup holders etc. they tip over more easily. all this to save $.0000005 per can?

Very gay. I expect someone drinking these openly to also be smoking one of those faggy super-thin cigarettes. Would make the perfect fag combo.

These shitty cans are all I can find in my EU country. Even coca cola switched to this bullshit. I miss the old style short and thick cans, these modern cans can be pierced by a toothpick and quickly heat up.

sleek cans require specialized production equipment
if they are producing standard cans on the same line that means time spent changing parts on equipment

the end goal is get get consumer accustomed to the near 222ml/7.5oz cans which are the small diameter and shorter height
then they can charge even more for standard
