the correct method of walking through a grocery store is the produce section first, then deli, then bread, then cheeses. then going up and down each aisle and the meat section as one comes to it. then the non edible aisles, and finally the pharmacy. DO NOT BLOCK THE AISLES mindlessly staring at things you will never buy. you are not the only person in the store.

then go to the check out, never using the self checkout.

stand at the end of the conveyor, unload your cart. push the cart forward IN FRONT OF YOU.

for fruit I gotta go to one that's ~20min away but nearly on my way to work

and if not, markets are 100% everywhere

not delivered there is something called "bountiful baskets" once or twice a month you meet them in a parking lot somewhere, pay them and receive several boxes loaded with fruits and vegetables. we did it once. it was too much food at one time, we aren't vegans or vegetarians and could not eat the food fast enough.
