>>21492375You sort of have a point. I'm on the other side of it though. American food is refined and tweaked with salt and sugar and fat and portion size to be profitable and addictive.
It's abundant and makes your body release dopamine.
But I'd rather have actual ethnic foods that aren't Americanized. Because I'm healthy and more refined myself.
Like I don't want to see what "American Pho" will be in 40 years. They'll surely find the lowest common denominator aspects and double down on them to the max. I don't want the 'pepperoni and cheese-stuffed pretzel crust' version of Pho, thank you very much.
