I worked at Domino's on and off for several years. I had applied at a lower volume store close to me, but ended up getting transfered for a couple reasons. One, I didn't speak Spanish while everyone else in that store did, and two, the franchise REALLY needed more people at one of three stores.
I was living in Kissimmee, FL at the time and got sent to Davenport, specifically the super high volume store next to all the fucking vacation houses and schools n shit. I was thrown straight into one of the busiest stores in the fucking country as an insiderbfresh off the training videos. The videos don't teach you jack shit, and sure as hell don't teach you muscle memory. The first night I started there, I was just on the phones and registers getting overwhelmed. I was too slow on the makeline, so I decided to download an app on my tablet at home and make flash cards so I could memorize toppings instead of relying on the pictures. Me, a grown-ass man doing homework, lol. Anyway, it paid off, but I was still mostly told to stay at the front since I was an absolute machine at handling customers and labeling boxes. Quickly, I ended up dual-wielding phones while still taking walk-in orders, fucking 3 orders at once. I'd always have to tell the drivers to fuck off since not only did I have everything handled, but they'd often fuck something up one an order under my credentials since I would use 2 screens at a time. Anyway, to sum up me glazing myself, I was TOO good an insider, so my GM didn't want to let me go. The problem was I was spending most my checks just getting to work and back via Uber since I can't drive. I had gotten in touch with another GM at a store closer to home that I could actually walk to(it would have been quite the walk though) and he wanted me in his store. So, he, I, and some other managers all planned out for me to transfer closer to home, I put in my two weeks at that store out of courtesy, and at the last minute,
