Here's how I make ground beef. Usually for spaghetti. Dutch oven or Saucepan, get it hot so the oil is shimmering. Add the beef and don't touch it for 30s. Then start breaking it down as finely as possible, can take a while. Keep the heat high as you break it down further and further into a pebbly texture. The beef should brown almost all over. Scrape the bottom of the pan every now and then. Then I add red wine to get the stuck parts off the bottom. Then add any herbs + spices and mix. You could skip the red wine if you wanted to use beef broth instead. Add spices/herbs and let it simmer until the liquid is almost completely gone. Done.

Why would you make ground beef alone, without any sort of plan of what you would be using it for? Are you a dog? Cause you made dog food.

You could have made
Burgers
Spaghetti with meat/tomato sauce
Dumplings / Meat pie
Shepherd's Pie
etc
etc

Now you have wasted that shit.

more fat = more juicy. better crust and better taste.

I buy half pork half beef and just make 2 giant paddies, put some kind of animal fat in the pan and sear. It develops a good crust and seals the juices.

I agree with paprikafags, but you need the good stuff to get any real flavor. Other than that, finely chopped yellow onion, tomato paste, mushrooms if that's your thing. That's really all you need to make decent ground beef

Look up "Beef Larb" and make whatever recipe you like best. Its such a nice hot weather dish and really adds a SE Asian vibe to your usual rotation for ground beef.

Alternatively, you could cook the beef, strain it, and cook the oil with garlic, peppers, or any of your favorite aromatics and use that, as well as the beef, to top a cheap instant ramen.

I'll assume this picture is just dark. You still want to cook it at a lower temp so that you have time to stir it to cook it more evenly and aren't burning parts while others are still raw. Use a lid when not stirring.
Your biggest problem is expecting a better result from just ground beef. Use it for spaghetti or fajitas or tacos or anything.

Corn, peas, paprika (frozen)
2 dl of 15% cream
Red curry paste

Brown ground beef and add spices
Add 'taters and some water (don't nees to cover, the steam will boil them)
Add veggies
Boil untill almost all water is gone (15-20 min)
Turn off range add cream and curry paste, stir well.
Let sit for 10-15 min

Serve with fresh salad.

Ground beef is always lower quality meat, not as pleasing and flavorful as a good steak.

The cooking process will also be uneven if you just straight up cook it by itself like that, as a shapeless blob. (As opposed to cooking it as hamburger patties, cooking it in a stir fry, etc.)

Do you also eat ramen noodles alone and without the flavoring packet? Spaghetti without sauce? Pizza bread without toppings?

just add some salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, and paprika. Cook down some onions as well and toss them in, add a can of the rotel mild diced tomatoes and green chilis (or whatever heat you want you want). Send it off into a cooked tortilla, put some cheese on top of tortilla, add the meat on top and you have primo tacos for cheap and easy. You can also just toss it into a bowl with some salad and have a decent and easy meal.

No. Use at least 1 tablespoon for every serving of meat you have, but 1.5 tablespoons is better. A quick trick is that one serving of meat is roughly the size of the palm of your hand, digits not included.

-virgin olive oil for salad dressings, bread, and low-temp cooking (it has a low burning temperature. use it like you would use butter. mixing it with butter is very tasty too, and raises butter's smoke point slightly so it doesn't burn as fast)
-peanut oil for high temp frying
-beef tallow if it's in your price range for a mid-temp fat with good flavor
-lard as an alternative to peanut oil if you're allergic
