This was all made worse having been at the tail end of flying a small GA plane for the last couple hours and we had to fly home afterwards, but we still appreciated it as a stupid story to tell

>>21513152 (OP)Dad got served crab so rotten you could smell it the second it exited the kitchen at a steak place once. They comped us for it but had the audacity to try and claim the clearly rotten seafood was okay, until the manager, who had clearly come from off site was called in and looked close to strangling one of his employees when he saw the crab they were claiming was fresh
I thought it was funny, but I was also pretty shitfaced at the time

>>21513152 (OP)The only time I've sent food back was going to an Italian place. Ordered a pizza. It came out burned, yet cold at the same time. Like it had basil and garlic on top that was just blackened, but the whole thing was under room temperature. More of an embarrassment for me because it was a full house and then the manager came out and made a scene, not in a bad way, but I didn't want to make a big deal of it.
>>21513152 (OP)>go to little Cesar's>ran by brown people>They somehow fail to assemble one of the most basic thingsIt's like if you went to raising canes and the chicken was raw, and fries were burnt.
>>21513157Had the same thing happen at an English Pub in California. Dad took me in with a co-worker (it's not a full bar, also a restaruant, so I was allowed in). Waitress sat us and for 15 minutes we sat there, no drinks, no menus, nothing, so we just left. As we get out the door the bartender or whoever runs out asking if there was anything we needed. My dad waved him off and said no and we went out for Mexican instead.
Got food poisoning at a Mexican place ones. Throwing up all night. How hard is it for employees to wash their hands? It's like the main thing they have to do for their job, jesus christ.

How can you fuck up something so simple like beef steak?

One time I went to an Irish pub (in US) to get some shepherd's pie. Waitress asked me what beer I wanted to star off with. I said just water. She made a face and the rest of the night I got the slowest, shittiest service. All the other tables she was on top of, but mine she ignored.

I'm the type of person who never complains or asks for managers but with that exchange I was done.
Only regret is I didnt throw it at his face like had originally crossed my mind.
I went to a pizza parlor that used canned mushrooms.
>>21517543Oh fuck, that reminds me of this diner I went to. I ordered garlic fries. It was just regular fries with a mound of garlic from a jar dumped in the center.

>>21516729Why aren't all the Indians going to Germany?
Other countries require washrooms as part of restaurant licencing or just have public ones.
Driving across Texas, last stop before I get start into the endless abyss of nothing that is middle Texas for gas and something to eat. Go to Chilis, seems safe enough right?
It was incredibly chaotic, stuff was constsntly being dropped and slammed around, loud people/music. The waitress seemed all over the place and fucked up the simple order. Food took forever to get there and was kinda luke warm/soggy when it got there. The water I was given tasted like soapy dish water mixed with tap water. I asked for another one when the waitress finally came to check after a ling while, same thing. I did not tip, and would never return even if I knew what town it was in.
>>21513152 (OP)Thats easy. Its seared into my brain as something I'll never forgot. I was driving home after a long day in a downpour. Rural area, not a lot of options for food. See a Pizza Hut, say fuck it lets do it. Go in and order a simple dish of spaghetti and meatballs. Wait for forever. It comes out ghetti is cold and balls are frozen. Wait forever again, its still cold. I send back a 2nd time and its still fucking cold. I curse them out and leave. Ive never been back to a Pizza Hut since and that was 10 years ago. Fuck that place.

I went to KFC for the first time the other day. Tasted like shit and I got sick from it. More than a decade of american fast food propaganda blown away into my toilett bowl. Never again.
>>21520245Why didnt you get a pizza? Who gets spaghetti and meatballs from Pizza Hut?
The worst experience I had was when I was out partying until morning. In the morning I was going home and hungry so I went into some random burger place right as it was opening.
The people there looked at me like I was some kind of a freak and there was no menu. Felt too awkward to ask them what the options are so I just told them to get me a burger.
They gave me a bun with a burger, no sauce, no cheese, nothing, because I didn't specify what kind of burger I want.
Second worst is the first and last time I went into a Subway. I thought I'd just get a sub sandwich but the woman put me on the spot asking if I want X and Y and for me to pick all the ingredients. I have no idea what goes with what so I pick random shit and surprise it was terrible.
>>21513152 (OP)This one time i went to a place that has the best boiled peanuts. Have you ever had boiled peanuts? Anyway i ate so many boiled peanuts that i liked to got sick.

A local chicken shack was shuttering permanently. The counter guys were drunk and sniggering. I sat down and started. I spit out feather. Took another bite, a different piece. Coughed out thick gray feathers.
The bleepholes had battered and deep fried a whole, unprocessed street pigeon. They had left my money on the counter, I collected and left while they keeled over laughing in back. Didn't eat another bird for years.
>>21520349Because thats not what I wanted. I wanted pasta. Why put it on the menu if you cant do it right? Pizza Hut pizza is shit anyway
>>21513152 (OP)To anyone who has had food poisoning, are you weak?
Am I lucky for not getting or is it a sign of life in a civilized part of the world?
>>21513154Everday for a summer.
>>21516707Ahhh I've notice this at certain places. Management pushes waitresses to sell more alcohol and waitresses typically get bigger tips from people who drink. She probably had a history of tables who didn't order alcohol having lighter tips than people she pushed alcohol on. You will typically get better service in the US if you are drinking.
>>21513152 (OP)Twice now this has happened to me.
I was hungry and had six bucks in my pocket. Can you say Little Caesar's?! I had one down the road and a steady stream of Hot and Ready pizzas helped me when I was making insane car payments.
But today on this day when I walked up to the door an employee locked the doors and called out.
>"Sorry, we're closed."They didn't mean for that day. They meant like 'closed forever'. Later it became a mid BBQ place. Had I been five minutes earlier and I would have been their final customer.
Then my memories returned. I am the Joe Black of fast food. I escort these establishments into the afterlife.
>>21522822You aren't going to like this, but a certain Robert Evans is on my list it would seem...
>>21520885I thought I had food poisoning once, turns out I was just incredibly hung over/suffering from withdrawls from being a raging alcohol for like 2 months straight. Everything went better than expected.
>>21513152 (OP)>visiting relatives in US back in 2003>go to some famous local burger joint>order the 'infamous' fries and burger>Burger looks nice and greasy>fries are very oily>Tell the garsonne there is too much oil>suddenly get invaded by the US Army, get a call from the State Department saying I am oppressing's the fries.>they are about to hang me.I should've just stfu
I'm never eating from a restaurant again unless it's free, based on all these stories of incompetence. Even then, I don't want to get poisoned.

>>21526083Indians look at everything purely from an investment perspective. They really do not care about the finer nuances of running a business, their mind just goes "this burrito place is doing well, I'll just buy this and I'll be doing good too", they never see the effort the current owners put to run the place, never mind the industry specific expertise it requires. In their eyes a burrito place is the same as a fine dining, which is the same as a motel. All of them businesses!
Thankfully they never keep a place for too long, they either liquidate the business or move to their next target or finally run out of money
