Not that guy but I've seen the same sort of behaviour in person. My family and I don't eat much packaged food and the only vegetable that's gone up considerably is mature spinach (doubled in price in the last year) so we haven't been affected much by increasing food prices.
Eggs were touch and go for a while, but we found ways to get them cheap (coupon shenanigans; you may have seen me post last year about how we got 4 dozen eggs completely for free and, in fact, one or two of those dozen /we were actually paid to take/).
I'm sure beef has gone up, too, but we stock up when it's cheap/on sale and freeze that shit so I have no idea what "normal" price on beef is nowadays.
