Corned beef hash
That eternal New England classic. How do you like yours? From the can, or freshly made? Chunky? More finely diced? Topped with ketchup?

I will not eat breakfast at a diner if they do not serve homemade corned beef hash.

it's the tried-and-true
cooks up perfectly just dont add salt

adding a sprinkle of MSG makes a can of CBH delicious
but also a good hot sauce works well
armour and libbys are fine too

this is huge dude thanks
i completely fucking forgot about this. my mom would add msg into the low sodium hormel can i posted above
this was the secret and i fucked it because i told anon to not add salt, which is what my mom would say while adding "accent" or whatever. she meant dont add salt, add this

This, the reduced version in the green can is the right one. It gets crispiest.

I rarely have leftover corned beef, because I finish it all, but a chunkier corned beef is indeed wonderful in a restaurant. I do occasionally make roast beef hash.

I like mine paired with creamed chipped beef in a combo can from Toad's

I used to eat it as a kid so I made it a few months ago and hated it. Maybe it's better if it's made fresh.

It's amazing how many people say shit like this when it costs 5 dollars a can.
Anonymous No.21517154
>>21517090
stuff like this and spam used to actually be cheaper per pound than fresh meat in a lot of cases which is why everybody says this stuff but it changed in like the last decade for whatever reason. can't get really cheap meals from mcdonald's anymore either which defeats the entire purpose as well. we live in a society.

Yes Captain Obvious, that is the moral of the story. Want to remind us why we shouldn't fry bacon in the nude while you're at it?

Do not pause on the dog food thought, just move right past it fast!
The green can browns better, less oil I think.

>Topped with ketchup
In college I had a roommate that was in ROTC and he ate weird MRE-type corned beef hash all the time. He always drowned it in ketchup. Smelled like dog food but I assume it was delicious.
Anonymous No.21518406
Yall just eat it out of the can after frying it? I know I can add egg and hot sauce but what else?

Can does the job. But for me the local BBQ place does corned beef nuggets every Friday. Every now and then I will get them and save them for Sunday. Chop them up with some potatoes and a little onion. The fucking best breakfast ever.

Once went to a breakfast place near Detroit that served the chunkiest corned beef hash I'd ever seen. Not even hash, really. Delicious but not what I was expecting.
