Did you eat both of them? The few times I’ve gotten candy apples they always felt like the candy coating clashed with the raw apple. Same thing with chocolate coated apples.

it's water and sugar boiled on the stove for a long time to remove the water. It gets all thick and bubbly after a while, then turns brown really fast, which you don't want cus that tastes like burned marshmallows

recipes online say to use corn syrup, but water and sugar alone will work.

Basically all I am saying is we are living in a highly prosperous time where there is little if any true war and no some podunk Ukraine and Russia skirmishes for political purposes is not the same as existential WAR. We have so much free time and money now we are worrying about the most asinine dumb shit like sex and gender on the news. We are craving new and unique food combinations because if we don't get that we feel cheated out in life. Things are so fucking easy now. I mean Christ man... we got it good. For how long I dunno but you kids should be like a pig in mud during these great times because there's a chance and a very good one you will look back on today and say to yourself... Damn, I had it good back then and things were so much better. It'll happen.

the thing is, I have no clue how to seize these good times and optimize my enjoyment of them. I'm just a human, I can motorcycle across Vietnam, I can quit my day job and relax on my nest egg for some years, I can cheat on my gfs, I can go to the gym and program fun stuff every day, but I have no clue.
