I invented a cocktail the other day.
i called it a Donkey kong
It's a an equal parts cocktail:

1 part dark rum (Sailor Jerry's is soooo good in this.)
1 part Kahlua
1 part banana liqueur
1 part heavy cream

Shake well with ice, strain into a barrel mug or Tiki glass. Garnish with 1/2 whole banana (pelled or unpeeled, by preference) skewered

It's what you would call a "festive" drink though
I would recommend that you and your geussts enjoy 1 (ONE)of this cocktail because it's very strong
but it's so good.

Yes. I kinda like rum. Every other day for the last 26 or so years. Usually mixed with Cranberry juice but long ago it was with coke.

Aged rums of various labels:

Mount Gay
Flor de Cana
Appleton
Ron Zacapa

I pour Myers Dark or Appleton right into the eggnog punchbowl for the holidays, but the rest are for drinking and enjoying. My rums are typically gifted to me. I have a lifetime supply. I am not adverse to most good rums, and there are more every year. Few are actually made on the island or country on the label (Mount Gay is authentic).

It's controversial, but I actually l like spiced rums and I know they are entirely manufactured.

I've been making rumpressos a lot lately, largely because I got a new espresso machine. I use Bacardi Gold usually because it's cheap, but next time I get a bottle it'll be Myers or some similarly dark rum as that goes better with coffee.

Zacapa is also fantastic
If you have a real Tiki bar anywhere close to you with a decent rum list, definitely patronize it

This is my current sip. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the liquor store stops carrying it, as they do with everything I end up liking.

Have to be careful with dairy these days, especially when mixing it with alcohol. Plus I prefer my coffee cold.

It pairs well with sweet mixers and is easy to drink, but it is still a strong drink, so I often get drunk in a bad way.

Best friendo got the most amazing rum collection.

I like rum. Used to drink sailor jerry a lot, but then it seemed like they did something weird to the flavour years ago and have been drinking other rums since then. Don't know if it was just me, suppose I should give it another go eventually. I do buy pic related often, nice taste for its price range.

what kind of rum has the most brown flavor? I found out that dark rum is only brown because they put food coloring in it. should I just look for things with big numbers on the bottle?

Depends what you consider "brown flavour". Either ageing or just the young sharp high esther taste of black rums that are obviously just coloured to emphasise that.
