does grinding your own coffee beans really make that big of a difference?

Yes. Ground coffee loses most taste after a week.
It's not too bad if you get a small bag ground when you buy it and use it up quickly.
Buying preground coffee is a no no, though. Shit spends half a year in warehouses before you get it.

>companies just love paying for 6 months of storing something in a warehouse for no reason
Anonymous No.21529857
A good grinder and fresh beans makes a bigger difference than brewing method. A couple months ago I got an ode gen 2 and it made such a massive difference. I was buying pre ground before that

I have a good little grinder thats relatively quiet. And everything i have tried, whole bean coffee is superior. Unfortunately im back to drip coffee cause im poor and my cheap espresso machine broke and nothing I try to do to clean it will fix it. Its like it wont seal and pressurize properly

>coffee is harvested
>shipment sent to coffee company
>they grind it in large quantities and package in the warehouse
>it waits for supermarkets to purchase it
>supermarkets eventually purchase it in large quantities
>it travels by boat for a month
>product waits in the supermarket warehouse
>eventually the shit coffee at your local supermarket finally expires or is bought out so they order a new batch
>a week later the shit ground coffee finally arrives at the supermarket shelf
>2 months later the retard buys his shitty ground coffee

it's marginally better (especially in smell and length you can have the bag); and grinding is so simple that you really may as well if you consider yourself a fan of coffee.

Coffee stays fresh longer in whole bean form and the ground size is a variable in brew strength.

>does grinding your own coffee beans really make that big of a difference?
yes. It's about freshness. If you buy ground coffee on the same day it's fine. But after a week it is worse where as the beans would have held up.

good beans are expensive (40€/kg), they are the most important factor for good coffee
then comes the grind and decent grinders start at 200€
then comes the brewing, you should figure out yourself how you like it best

Coffee contains fluoride and caffeine
increases the absorption of it.

The truth hurts at times.
Albeit refraining from poison.
And learning about plant medicine can
help in any way you want it to basically.
Bartrams Encyclopedia of herbal medicine is a decent start.
You can find caffeine elsewhere I think.
I'm just trying to soften the blow of truth about coffee.
It definitely impacts visual memory.
To say the least and that impacts all forms of cognition.
I'm not emotional about coffee or anything.
Just precisely talking to draw attention to something I think is helping keep people complacent with being taken advantage of for their whole waking hour.

Dealing with the truth just in general
Is hard at first but making real progress is insurmountable
Life has meaning it's a shame what has happened with the bad shepherd tricking and distracting everyone

Prickly lettuce is a decent natural opiate if you need something more.
I'm not trying to advocate for drugs.
I just think if people had access to medicine to address their issues and then address the societal issues that are kneecapping them it will go a long way in preventing addiction.

yes it is night and day
unless your coffee was ground this morning then it is already significantly worse than freshly ground coffee
plus the smell is phenomenal
