How come the flavors of cannabis aren't more widely utilized as a spice? I don't mean as an edible to get you high. Cannabis has some really interesting complex and musky flavors that I haven't tasted anything close to in other spices, certain edible gummy candies i've had have a richness of flavor that non-infused candies have nothing close to.

agreed. sometimes I'd smoke and get strong cinnamon flavors. I think the main issue is the price. Shit's expensive just to use as a flavor.

I get it's not for everyone, but I personally enjoy the taste. I don't like edibles, I prefer flower cause it's easier to control the high. But I've had edibles before and they taste pretty good.

Not really. Depending on the potency will either make it taste extreme or subtle. The point of edibles is to get high without having to smoke anything.

I haven't heard that shit in YEARS.
I only buy top shelf shit from the dispo, it's better than anything I ever smoked in the old days, it still tastes like shit and smells like shit because weed smells and tastes like shit.

Everyone says weed tastes like shit. That's probably because you're burning it, dummies. Try a good vaporizer and you can taste the same flavors you can smell in the fresh flowers without the BBQ smoke taste.

Unfortunately, it's more difficult to get those delicate flavors into food. Extracting with alcohol destroys most of it and leaves it tasting grassy. Most people decarb weed before using it in infusions or to make cannabutter which also ruins the taste.

I have also been all over the country, illegal and legal states alike. I currently live in Alaska, have loved here for almost five years now, hands down the best weed I've ever smoked. Tastes like, you guessed it, shit. Stop being a faggot and just smoke the shit. Or vape or dab or whatever you zoomies do these days. Personally I use a couple of fat globs of RSO a day, in conjunction with a few joints. No pre rolls, I grew up in a time when you had to actually roll your own weed, little zoomzoom.

Fuck you just reminded me, and this is info for everyone who likes the taste of weed. I had a shitload of stems once and I was curious to try edibles so I infused some in some coconut oil. Basically, you get some cheese cloth, wrap the stems in them, get a glass jar, fill it with oil, put the stems inside the oil, tightly seal the lid and put it in a pot of boiling water. I forgot the exact times, there's a youtube video that explains it perfectly.

I used that oil to make a lemon cake for my birthday last year and even used the leftover oil for the frosting. It was so fucking good. I mean, I probably barely caught a buzz but the flavor was so fucking good. Obviously the better quality weed you use, or even stems, the better the end product.
