you know OP that the point of these ads with weird recipes was to get people to use more of "product"? they were meant for newly married women who needed ideas for meals because the internet did not exist.
nobody made most of these odd recipes more than once.

Why would ordering a cookbook be prohibited by law? Even if you have to also include 3 labels. It's not a lottery, which I thought was always the important part.

A lot of old ads had to be drawn or advertise some creative way to sell them.
A lot of these foods are still around, especially the cereals. Ry-Krisp is gone. but eating low calorie crackers by volume (rye or otherwise) to lose weight is its legacy.

Dammit. I always meant to buy some Ry-Krisp for old times sake. Now it's over. Sad. Another old thing is gone. And some bright new unnaturally colored energy beverage has taken its place. And more people here will be happy about that than sad about the loss of Ry-Krisp.
I hate the modern world.

Tell that to my dad. He was born in the early 60s and he still bitches about all the jello salads and jello seafood molds my grandmother made back in the day. "I've had enough tuna casseroles for 10 lifetimes. I will never eat one again." He won't even touch hamburger helper, I had it one time as a kid and he bitched at my mom for buying it.

All we ever wanted was a sandwich, femoids. Even 4chan was telling you this 20 years ago and now your bathrooms are being invaded by fags in drag. This is the future you chose.

The advertising has aged really poorly. No one would read all that text in the ads right now but i guess people had more time back in the day. Or all ads were limited to print media.
Anyway that said they still have a charm
