Bread and olive oil
What kind of bread do you use, and what kind of olive oil?

Any restaurants around you that do a particularly good pair of this?

And why can't I get this at a bar, next to the fried mushrooms and buffalo wings?

Strange, Canola is healthier, cheaper, neutral tasting, has a much higher smoke point, is more ecologically sustainable and doesn't have to deal with that bullshit.

How curious...

This this italian place in little korea in Boston called Carlo's that serves this fiiiine oil with im not sure what bread with two olives in the middle. Real good food there.
I work at a place thag does an oil dip with foccaccia bread we make in house. Its canola oil with Romano cheese, some garlic and crushed red pepper.
Its very tasty

Even though they are lying to the people they are probably replacing it with a superior oil that is healthier and has less saturated fat and more vitamin e and k.

Deceitful, but only a benefit not consequence. It's like putting a Kia logo on a Honda.

Not sure if you have a Carrabba's Italian Grill near you, but they do a great version of bread and oil. It's complementary to every table so you don't even have to order it, just comes free and they fix it fresh each time when you first sit down.

Do you really think that the "olives" at the grocery store, canned or otherwise, are real olives? They're just black/green grapes with a hole in the middle, artificial flavoring, and a touch of canola oil.

I do a simple 5 ingredient rosemary bread, usually small loaves for 2 basically. It's a rip-off of what Macaroni Grill used to do with they were a good place to go for Italian. I use olive oil with balsamic vinegar added, salt and pepper.

Nah. It's better than butter and it does have a high smoke point but it is pricier and not as good in a few metrics like price. It has its use though. Salads etc.

If Avocado is the prince, then Canola is the king.
