Cabbage + Rice is very versatile.
Pretty much everywhere you use rice, you can use rice + shredded cabbage instead to get some greens into you.
Get the sweet savoy cabbage. The other one is garbage.

Cabbage is awesome.

>Like $2 for a whole head
>lasts a really long time in the fridge
>get a bunch of it
>Can slice it thin and cook it up with some meats for a filling meal full of fiber
>can be used in place of pasta to cut carbs
>can be crunchy, can also be soft
>stir fries really well
>can be fermented into a healthy probiotic
>when cooked and seasoned properly, can be used to level up many dishes

Get better in the kitchen.

Cabbage exists only to be fermented. There is no dish in history that benefits from added cabbage and cabbage by itself doesn't taste of much. Turn it into sauerkraut and it's pretty good. You can put it next to most dishes and you can eat it by itself.
People must have grown this shit for cows before they discovered you could ferment it.

Corned beef, chunks of cabbage, potato, and carrots. Throw it all in a pressure cooker and you have a great, filling meal. Use left overs for the next morning for corned beef has. As others have pointed out there are tons of dishes and uses other than sauerkraut and weeb-chi.

I prefer it raw as a salad. Cooked cabbage is too mushy, never liked the texture.

I grow cabbages in my backyard. I cut them into thing chucks of around 2x3 cm. I preheat a wok to very high heat. I stir fry it until it has some brown or barely charred edges. The released water cools the wok. Once the heat slows down I turn the stove to low heat(for a wok burner, still high). I preheat the wok, add a good dose of sesame oil, some Archean peppercorn oil and a bit of garlic and ginger before throwing in the cabbage. i buy large chunks of smoked pork. I cut these into chunks of smoked pork and fry them up. I add this to the shredded cabbage once the heat is down. The. I splash in some soy sauce around the edge of the wok and stir it all together. Delicious lunch for a week with a good bit of wokhei or however you spellenthat. Not authentic at all since the Chinese barely smoke meat but it’s delicious.
