I hate appetizers
They’re always too much for just one person and they’re expensive as hell. Anyone else hate appetizers?

No. Sometimes I only order appetizers.

>too much for one person
The point of appetizers is ordering it for the group, creating a conversation piece until the entrees arrive. Glad I could help.

Have you ever eaten at a real restaurant? And I don't mean McDonalds?

yes and he is 100% correct for SOME restaurants. It's not universally true but if you have never seen it you haven't traveled enough

'He' being yourself, of course.

Being 'well travelled' for you means eating in another state.
>The point of appetizers is ordering it for the group
Be honest, you have NEVER eaten out, have you?

not the same Anon, no. Turkish places in several Euro countries are a coin toss in that regard, for example, one indoor grill place offered assorted antipasti, humus and similar things (+ unlimited bread) as an appetizer. French restaurants are the polar opposite, there appetizers are definitely single serving. However you often get an amuse-gueule for the whole table with your order, free of charge. Serves the same culinary purpose as what Anon means but is distinct from an appetizer.
>another state
shouldn't you still be in bed, mutt?

Now you are back-pedalling to try and save face with your 'possibly' and 'maybe' .
I have eaten at Turk restaurants in Europe and this doesn't happen, unless it's stated as a group menu.
I don't know who you are trying to fool?

Usage of "amuse-gueule" and says antipasti instead of mezze. What a cock.

I love them. The only thing I hate about them is I'm too poor to afford them.

I said in >>21539904 (my first post itt) that what he said is correct SOME of the time, though I am befuddled that the other anon thinks it's the rule, I am not aware of any euro country where it is, and it wasn't in the US either. Still, it is not that uncommon a thing, either. At all. Germans for example tend to make stupidly large portions in the north so, in casual places it is not uncommon for people to share an appetizer.
>>21539945
You can mald all you want but I also occasionally call shawarma doner, gimbap sushi, and even during my time in the US I called them "chicken burgers" not "chicken sandwiches". I don't much care to use language precisely unless I talk to the waiter.

You didn't refer to the dish with the correct name because you've probably had it it once at most. It displayed your ignorance. You've no fucking clue.

People don't share them, people order what they want to eat, are you referring to a few complimentary breadsticks thrown on the table?

Oh it's a chicken burger definitely. However, you think that they bring out "antipasti" for the whole table. When in fact someone may be ordering tarama or cacik, someone else may be ordering borek or sucuk or dolma or so forth. They'll likely bring some flatbread and sauce / salad complimentarily. But otherwise your bullshit holds no water

Is this a ham burger?
Anonymous No.21540014 >>21540020
>>21540000
Nope, like actual appetizers. It strongly depends on the restaurant but I definitely had it happen. Imagine a mixed plate like this with sliced flatbread for the whole table.
>>21540004
Remember the "some" in the beginning. I absolutely had restaurants, turkish ones even, where appetizers were more sensibly sized (for one person). Having big appetizer plates people share I tend to associate with casual dining places where you usually see large families go. I have no reason to make up something so specific.

You're so naive that you didn't realise it was specific until you were pulled up on it. If you actually have friends and/or family, try going out to a Turkish restaurant with them, it's a nice experience. You may enjoy it

lots of weird assumptions you are making about someone who never really disagreed with you much to begin with, bro
