it can go to self clean, which I should remind everyone is a fucking scam that doesn't even carbonize the shit in your oven enough to easily clean it, it just makes it worse, and on top of that, it damages your stove by overheating the electronics within. seriously, it you might as well be voiding your warranty if you're dumb enough to use that option

The 100 cookbooks blogger/author had a DIY way to unhook your oven lock to use the clean oven properties to make your oven hot for pizza cooking. Seems like asking for a fire, to me.

Before that, bakers lined their oven with ceramic tiles, simulating a stone floor. I say, just buy a pizza steel or cast iron pizza pan. It gets plenty damn hot in the oven before you slide dough on it, or else build your outdoor brick oven and add some house value.

550F/288C. I’d kill myself if I couldn’t make pizza, bake bread, roast vegetables, or finish slow cooked meat at that temp. I wish my broiler were a bit stronger, though. If I broil boneless skinless chicken thighs I have to put in extra work to make sure they brown before overcooking

What would happen if I tried to cook a pizza with my oven in clean mode? Clean mode gets hotter than the normal max right? I might be onto something here.

This thread reminds me of a question I've always wanted to ask: is there anything you can cook on an oven during its self-clean cycle? Something that would require hours of 500+F temperatures?

Room temperature. My oven broke and I can't afford to fix/replace it right now.
I'm pretty sure it's the starter, as the rest of the gas in the house works.

"That's just how life goes", i.e. it's fate and useless to attempt to change it.
The entire thing with witchcraft is the attempt to change things / make things better (or I guess worse if you're cursing someone).
So I could see why some witch autist would think that.

Just use a match or grill lighter.
Also it might just be a dirty ignition sensor, my furnace guy just had to wipe off a tiny glass thing with some rubbing alcohol and it worked again, charged me only 20 bucks.

550 f but i can push it higher if i put a pot lid over the back right burner where the vent is, which is probably fairly unsafe, but it does help really crank the heat when i need to
